DON'T use third party, the tour company will NOT HELP you if needed!!
The tour itself WAS good! However, due to someone's error in assigning names with DOBs on the tickets, some of my group were denied access. Crown Tours aka City Wonders, was not very helpful in resolving my situation. When I described what had happened ( the names on the tickets were reversed with the dates of birth I had given in my reservation), Sky (the representative of Crown Tours) simply replied that I had made the mistake and she would not help me. I filed a complaint and partial refund request with Trip Advisor, only to be ignored for OVER A WEEK. I called out Crown Tours for not being very customer friendly and then she (Sky) obliged my request to actually contact third party Trip Advisor/Viator. They actually got back to me in 15 minutes without giving a reason for denying my request. They have denied showing me proof my alleged error All I know for sure is that I paid for the tour and because somebody else screwed up, and NOBODY WILL TAKE THE BLAME, some of my party missed out on seeing the Colosseum in Rome. Our tour guide was lovely and I thank her for her help, but everybody else was very easy to pass the buck. ALWAYS BOOK WITH THE TOUR COMPANY, not third party!

Sam and Daniel were wonderful guides. The tour was informative and included so many great places. Very moving places to visit.

Interesting and entertaining tour of Normandy

Guaranteed no wait one big guaranteed lie
This was a “no waiting guaranteed” yet for some reason our guide had our group wait in the line for unticketed visitors for 35 minutes in cold temperatures (40 degrees). Once we got to the front of the line, the lady in the ticket booth told him we didn’t need to wait as he had pre-printed tickets. He claimed he had been giving tours for 6 months, but this seemed like his first day. He was a very low talker and we couldn’t hear anything he said about the tower during this unnecessary wait. We basically got nothing other than tickets to access the tower. Avoid at all costs.

Normandy D Day
Our trip to Normandy was terrific. Daniel and Sam were our guides and they were fantastic. Their love of Paris, France, Normandy and history was well shared.

This tour was amazing! Maria was incredibly knowledgeable about the architecture and the history of Rome. We learned so much and got to see what Rome would have looked like if the buildings were still complete today. Maria was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. 100% recommend.

The tour was long I would have preferred either a quicker tour or self guided. I did not like the crowds but the by passing of lines with this option was great since this place is crowded

Amazing and fun
Our lady instructor was super fun , nice, excited about the art. I had a 9 year old child so she was super aware of her and made sure to include her and make it interesting. She was very knowledgeable about everything and eager to answer any question you threw at her! Loved her attitude. The instructors make the tour good or bad. She made it good! I recommend her to anyone! Worth the money!

Great Excursion
Daniel and Sam lead a great tour experience. It is a long excursion but well worth it. Seeing Omaha and Utah beaches in person was a special event. Daniel and Sam were very professional and kept the trip moving at a pace to allow a good experience.

A good overview of the historical significance of ask the sites with enough time to take pictures. Our guide was very knowledgeable and took time to answer everyone’s questions.

More of a history tour than wine tour
If you're looking specifically for a wine tasting day, I'd suggest booking a different tour! This was more of a history of Tuscany and Rome tour, with some info about wine in Tuscany and then ending with a lunch and wine tasting (you try about 6 wines in total during the 12 hour day). The focus of the day was definitely more history and touring of Montepulciano and Pienza! It was still a great day and our guide Peter was great and very informative. We would have liked more of the day to be focused on the wine tasting and possibly visiting more than one winery, so if that's what you're looking for I'd do something different!
