Obviously amazing
We recently took a day trip from Rome to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, and let me tell you, it was a blast—figuratively speaking, of course! First off, Pompeii is just incredible. Walking through the ancient ruins felt like stepping back in time, except with a lot fewer toga parties. The preserved buildings, once bustling with life, made for some amazing photo ops and the occasional “wow, I’d love to live here… in 79 AD.” Our guide was a gem, mixing in historical facts with light-hearted jokes. Honestly, they made the history feel less like a boring textbook and more like a Netflix docuseries! After we soaked up our fair share of history, we headed to Mount Vesuvius. Now, here’s where things got a little adventurous. Climbing to the top was more of a “let's see who can breathe heavily while pretending to be fit” kind of competition. But the view from the top? Absolutely worth the wheezing! You could see the whole bay, and I also think I saw my lunch from earlier making a quick escape. All in all, this day trip was a fantastic mix of exercise, history, and just enough spectacular views to make my social media followers a bit jealous. If you’re ever in Rome and want to feel very small in the grand scheme of things, I highly recommend this trip! Just don’t forget your water and a good pair of shoes—or you may find yourself regretting that extra gelato you had

An incredible experience
Our guide Georgio was absolutely brilliant. He was so welcoming and informative. We really didn’t know what to expect of our visit to The Colloseum, just looking at it blew us away but our guide brought it to life for us. We really enjoyed it and came away agreeing it was the best history lesson we’d ever had. Our 13 year old daughter enjoyed it and couldn’t wait to tell her friends all about it. Everything was well organised and we found the meeting point with ease. Thank you for an incredible experience !

Great Tour to Normandy
Very well presented. Very informative. Both tour guides, Raymond and Laurence, were passionate about the information they shared with the group and the full day experience. The guides are punctual in order to keep the tour running smoothly but without making you feel rushed. We booked the trip to Normandy and the tour hits all the major locations that you would hope to see on this trip. Would book another trip with them in the future.

Great time on the Coast!
This was an amazing tour. Rob was super friendly and personable. He is a very nice person and super patient. Loved all the details and information he provided. The food suggestions were on spot. He made sure that everyone enjoyed themselves and was readily available to answer any questions. The driver was amazing through the narrow streets of Positano- thank you for bringing us back safely. Rob is the tour guide you want for your next tour.

Our guide Clara (or Claudia?) was very enthusiastic and informative about the history of Venice. She would give a lot of free time to walk around and explore the place ourselves. Mateo was a wonderful captain and always provided a helping hand

Climb to summit tour
The tour was the only way to reserve tickets to the summit as those were all gone on the tower official site. It totally worth it: Katherina, our guide made sure we used the time we stayed in line to give us interesting information and alleviate our impatience. She was friendly and graciously guided us including towards the last ascent to the summit.

Lovely break from the hustle of Paris
Beautiful trip. Half a day here was just the right amount of time. We were fortunate to go at a time when it was not too overun with tourists- 2nd week of opening. The house and gardens are charming although they themselves could offer more information. Our guide Hendricks was very good. We had downloaded the POP guide so were well served. He introduced the subject very well. A great visit.

Great Morning of Cultural Education
We had the pleasure of Sid taking us through The Louvre. He was brilliant. Sid made it interesting and funny. His knowledge and communication skill are exceptional. We spent 3 hours with him and it felt like less than an hour. Sid kept us captivated the entire time, waiting to hear what gem of information he was going to share next. A great morning of cultural education. Well done, Sid.

Guides were A+. Very knowledgeable and accommodating in spite of it being a large group! Bit of a hike on the coach but it was clean, well maintained and comfortable. Definitely recommend!

The tour was very organized. The communication provided by the organizers from the reminder before the day of the tour instructions very clear and helpful. I was assigned to Anais, and she is an amazing tour guide. She has all these stories and facts about the history of the museum, people and the artworks. I highly recommend Anais and the tour operator!

Recommended for visiting St. Mark’s and the Doge’s Palace
Zoe is an expert tour guide. She was friendly and knowledgeable without overwhelming us with so much detail. It took us a bit to find the meeting point because the area is so crowded but CityWonders was helpful and responsive. The tour itself kept a good pace without feeling dull or rushed. Well organized. Recommended for visting St. Mark’s and the Doge’s Palace.

Massive praise to our tour guide, Paola, who led an excellent tour. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the sights we were taken to, learning about their history and significance, and were kept thoroughly engaged throughout the day. My partner also would like to compliment the coach driver on how well he managed the difficult roads we were navigating - as a bus driver himself, he knows how difficult this could be!
