Worth the money — best way to see the Vatican!

It was the Monday after the Pope’s funeral so very crowded and chaotic. No Sidtine Chspel. But our guide Paola made sure we saw everything possible. She was efficient and kept the group together. A lot of money for a 30 person tour but worth skipping lines and making the most of our time. We started on time and had a good time learning and seeing all the treasures of the Vatican.

Highly recommend getting...

Highly recommend getting a guide. The Louvre is shockingly huge and we would have been lost without one. Addi was amazing. Made sure we hit all the big pieces and was very knowledgeable. We wondered around after the tour and really didn’t run across anything we wish she would have shown us. Highly recommend.

Paris Essential art tour

Loved the Louvre Museum tour. Our tour guide kept our group together and moving while telling us about the art all along the way. It was just the right amount of time for us to see the highlights with the option to see more afterwards. The art, as well as the historical elements of the building, were really fascinating. Great tour!

Good, but missed two icons of French cinema.

Overall, this was a very good tour of this beautiful, historic cemetery. Our guide was knowledgeable about the history of the cemetery, and the graves we visited. We only went to about a dozen graves, however, and the guide left out two major cinema luminaries I wanted to see—Georges Melies and Sarah Bernhardt. While I understand that the tour can’t cover all of the major people buried here, I think we definitely could have skipped some of the graves we did see and focus on these two major prides of France. For those who do want to see them, Google Maps was the best resource in guiding me to their exact location.

It was an excellent tour. Luca, our driver, inspired confidence with his careful driving, and Antonino is an excellent tour guide with his knowledge, kindness, and energy. Furthermore, the Pompeii guide was excellent and very entertaining. It’s also important that both guides speak excellent accent-free English.

Da die Tour in Englisch geführt wurde, war es nicht einfach, den Reiseführer optimal zu verstehen. Er hat sehr schnell gesprochen und einige Satzenden verschluckt. Da Englisch ebenfalls nicht meine Muttersprache ist, wäre es besser gewesen, wenn er in halbem Tempo gesprochen hätte.
