A unique experience in Rome, if you have free time it is a quick & interesting tour with a lot of history.

This was a large bus tour which we do not normally book but because we had limited time and wanted to travel north of Rome this seemed like our best option. Paula was an excellent tour guide and our driver Enrico was wonderful. Montepulciano was a beautiful area. The tour was split into 2 and we had a wonderful guide, Klaus, to tell us the history of the town. Our wine tasting was very good but noisy and busy with the amount of people. We would have enjoyed a bit more wine with our actual meal but the servers seemed to have a difficult time keeping up with the crowd. Our last stop was Pienza, a quaint town and had Pecorino Gelato, which was amazingly good! It’s was a nice day but a long trip.

Would not book this tour company again
Our guide, Marina, was fantastic and the museums section was really informative and enjoyable. However, despite having deliberately booked a ticket that claimed direct access to St Peter’s, without having to line up, we were told on the day that this was not available because of the weekly papal audience in St Peter’s square. Given this happens most weeks, it seems quite fraudulent to sell tickets suggesting the guide will take you straight through to St Peter’s. Given the extraordinary lines in the square, this is a significant piece of information that, if it had been shared, means I would not have booked that day. Although the museums tour was good, I cannot give more stars when we were so misled by the information on the ticket. Disappointing.

Get Hugo!
Absolutely easy to book via web. continuous, messages leading up to the day of tour, with links to location, description of location and markers to help me get there easy. Had an issue with train delay and was able to message them to provide updates and thankfully made it on time. If you get a chance timo get Hugo as your guide or request him, he is a gem. Funny and very knowledgeable, enjoys asking the group trivia questions about the art or famous people , and ties french culture with pop culture seamlessly. It was a joy to hear about the masterpieces through Hugo’s french eyes.

Ana was simply amazing. I’ve never had a better tour guide and I’ve been on a lot of European tours. Her historical knowledge is amazing! Our English language is impeccable. She spoke at the right pace capture at the right pace! Our family couldn’t have had a better time!

Flavia was our tour guide. She was great. Provided the right amount of detail and pointed out lots of interesting facts. Length of the tour was great as well. Tour was well organized and meeting point was easy to find. Highly recommend!

Book this tour!
Amil was absolutely the best. She is a historian but added some much needed humor to distract from the crowds! The only downside was we booked in a Wednesday, so no getting into the Basilica with this tour. Not there fault - I missed this detail when booking. For the price- you would have thought that was included. All worth it- such a great tour and memories made. Thank you Amil.

Wish we had the allotted time in Positano
This tour was okay. The operators were great, but the time allotted for Positano (2 hours) was not honored. All communication from the tour clearly stated that is you missed meeting back up in Pompeii at the required time that you would be left behind. That was not the case as a tourist from the excursion was late. We waited on this individual and did not get the entire time in Positano. This was very disappointing to me as Positano was the main reason I booked the tour. Take my experience in to consideration when booking this trip.
