Tower of London with beefeater
Our guide was animated when telling the history of the Tower of London. Very informative and highly recommend this tour!

Early start worth it
The guide was easy to find and he was great. It was worth getting in early to see the ceremony and beat the crowds - as we were leaving there were loads of school groups coming in! Some people on our group seemed to think this tour included heading to Westminster after the tower, but this is just to get you in early and the guide leaves at 9. We stayed for a while to explore on our own afterwards.

Disappointing
We originally booked this tour 6 months before our trip. It was cancelled. We rebooked and were charged double. It was cancelled. We rebooked and on the tour found out there was not going to be a changing of the guard on that day. We didn't stay for the walking tour because we had already seen those places. We feel we should get our money back, but there seems to be no way to contact Viator directly.

Very good tour
It was a great experience. Great communication on where and when to meet. Finding the correct tour group and checking in was organized and easy. Our guide, Ilaria of City Wonders, was outstanding. Her knowledge of the history of the Vatican was amazing.

Too Short to be worth it.
Like any large group trip, you spend/waste a lot of time rallying up the people. This is the problem with this trip in that we spent a lot of time getting the group onto the bus, rallied at the site and then back. Time that could be spent at Monet's gardens. Translated, this needs to be about an hour or two longer.

Prepare yourself for a...
Prepare yourself for a lot of walking. The sights are stunning but during this tour you’ll be walking about 2.5 miles or 3 kilometres. But if you can stand the crowds you will not be disappointed. I would suggest booking for the early tour. Skip the line tickets are a must unless you want to get up at 5:00am to line up. For us that wasn’t an option. From the museums of the Popes to the Sistine Chapel it was an unforgettable experience. Then you walk in the St Peter’s Basilica and you feel small compared to the size and grandeur. Experience at least once in your life. Put on those walking shoes, get up early and grab an espresso on the way.

Excellent tour
We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide Valerio was very knowledgeable and passionate. He really brought the ruins to life! It is a long tour and lots of standing in one place so definitely wear trainers! But we learnt so much and really enjoyed it
