This was an ultimate bucket list place to visit as I adore cultural myths, legends and folklore and Romania has so much of this! I was surprised the castle was smaller than anticipated and there wasn’t that much to see inside. In honesty I wouldn’t recommend paying for the torture chamber or time tunnel as it’s things you can look up online. The general entry ticket is enough. Despite online reviews I’ve read about extremely long queues, there were possibly 10 people ahead of us at the castle doors which cleared within a minute. We visited on a Saturday at 10:45 and managed to get through the castle, read the information with the exhibits, visit the torture chamber and take plenty of photos in the court yard by 12:00. I regret not venturing the gardens, it looked like it was closed as canvas tents were being erected.

(Translated by Google) Very interesting. We liked our English speaking guide. The torture chambers are very interesting. You can skip the time tunnel. (Original) Zelo zanimivo. Time tunel lahko izpustite.

The castle is wonderful. They have a combination of real history and dracula. The had a so called "medieval summer village" but it was kinda disappointing. The workers seem nice. The shopkeepers at the shops both inside and outside the castle are not nice at all. There was a souvenir coin machine outside the souvenir shop in the castle, a lady was telling the shopkeeper that it didn't worked, and the shopkeeper was very disrespectful saying that it was her who wasn't doing it good. Near the castle is the bus station to go back to Brasov, it accepts euros.

the castle itself was good but the treatment of the horses is not. they have 2 horses they keep in a stable with a rope about 3 feet. no room to move, the horses spent the entire 30 minutes I watched them trying to dig at the ground to get out. if you like animals I would not recommend spending your money here

(Translated by Google) It's all just about making money now. They let far too many people in, and many rooms are no longer open to the public. I'll definitely be back.

(Translated by Google) As far as we are concerned, Bran Castle is the textbook example of a tourist hype. As a historic castle, it disappointed us considerably. A large part of the castle has been so extensively renovated over the years that very little authentic atmosphere remains. Additionally, you have to pay extra for certain museum sections, while the entrance fee is already steep. This feels primarily like a way to squeeze as much money out of visitors as possible. The biggest disappointment is the emphasis on Dracula, ghosts, and werewolves. Vlad the Impaler, the historical figure often associated with Dracula, never lived here. Yet, a large part of the commercial experience revolves around this myth. It feels cheap and kitschy and does little justice to the castle's true history. On top of that, there is the enormous crowding. You shuffle in a long line through narrow corridors, surrounded by noise and large groups of visitors. There is hardly any opportunity to quietly look around or absorb the history. If you are looking for an authentic historical experience, I would spend my time and money elsewhere. Bran Castle has primarily become a commercial tourist product. A big fair. For us, it was a disappointment and certainly not worth the hype.
