Amazing day out here for my husbands birthday. We prebooked tickets online and I would advise to do the same. It is very commercialised with lots of tourists in the town and market but it has a really cool and chilled vibe. The castle inside is amazing. You do have to pay extra for the torture chamber and lift wich isn't great but its not expensive either. The torture chamber is disturbing and creepy and it is definitely worth a visit. It is not the most impressive of castles to look at in the region but it is such an amazing and interesting place to visit with all the history and mythology about the place. We highly recommend and will be returning.

Also für uns hat sich dieser Besuch absolut nicht gelohnt. Achso. Die Tickets gibt es nur von Automaten. Wir haben BAR bezahlt und prompt Probleme. Der Kasten gab das Rückgeld nicht raus, hing sich auf und hat mal unsere eingesteckten 300 Lei behalten. Eine genervte Dame hat uns dann widerwillig unser Geld aus der Kiste rausgeholt und uns an einen anderen Automaten verwiesen, der auch Rückgeld ausbezahlt. Komisch woher sie wußte, daß DER das ohne Probleme macht? Okay, jeder muß selber wissen, ob es ihm das wert ist. ;)

I personally cannot imagine this castle to be fit for a princess or a queen/ king. It was easy to walk through the castle, but there did not seem to be any crowd control. On a Friday afternoon, it was very busy. There were large groups of children, maybe school field trips, but they were simply running through the castle. For the price, it was ok, but personally I did not feel as though it a good return for my money. To me, I found little there in regards to Dracula... despite it being dubbed ^Dracula's castle'." There were 2 additional experiences, being a torture chamber and a secret passage pack, yet I did not purchase these, so I cannot speak on those. The entrance fee was already enough money. Driving into the town, you knew you reached a tourist attraction when you start to see multiple vendor tents and touristy shops, etc... leading to the ticket kiosks (which you could not avoid walking through to get there.) very nice castle,one of my favourites✌️✌️✌️✌️

Zamek jest świetnie zachowany, bardzo klimatyczny, pełen zakamarków, dużo wąskich przejść. Bogata kolekcja eksponatów na wystawie tortur. Warto kupić bilety w necie, co daje pierwszeństwo do wejścia do zamku. Więc nie staliśmy w tej giga kolejce. Kupiliśmy bilety na wszystko ale to nie jest konieczne bo w zamku przed każdą wystawą (tortury, korytarz czasu) jest automat gdzie można kupić bilet. Polecam!
