Amazing place to visit. Advance booking recommended- you get a time slot to enter the castle- go slightly later as the early birds get stuck in a bottleneck! Can get very busy so go early if possible. Was a lovey medieval village outside the castle full of entertainment and food.

(Translated by Google) An experience I recommend seeing at least once in your life. It's also true that it's very much geared towards tourism, but it gives you a global picture of the castle's history. (Translated by Google) To be honest, we debated for a long time whether to pay the hefty entrance fee of 360 Lei (approx. €72). But on Friday evening, shortly before 6 p.m., we were extremely glad we'd finally decided to go for it. The castle is architecturally spectacular and fascinating: incredibly narrow, labyrinthine, with countless small rooms, doors, bay windows, hidden passageways, secret passages, steep staircases, landings, various balconies, and small niches. It's simply breathtaking. The information panels inside about Romanian history, the history of the castle, and its connection to Bran and Brașov are exceptionally well-researched and presented in a highly engaging way. The only downside is the commercialized myth: the building has absolutely nothing to do with the fictional Dracula figure. If anything, the historical Vlad III Țepeș was probably imprisoned here for a few days. The fact that a dynasty like the Habsburgs feels the need to exploit this historical setting for tourism in this way, raking in millions in profit, leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste. Despite the commercial hype surrounding it, the castle's structure and architecture are absolutely worth seeing!

Nicely kept but as other people say, it is mostly its outside view which impresses most. The inside is ok but typical. The guide was great, though. And obviously hundreds of tourists.

The castle itself is interesting; some furniture is original, but most of pieces inside are props. The view is magnificent. But everything is so commercial, that you feel at Disneyland. We paid quite few bucks extra for "priority access" - there is no such thing and it cannot be, because there is only one continuous queue, from entrance to exit. That is a rip-off. And the queues are huge, so you better be there early in the morning. Another rip-off is access to "torture chanbers" - no matter what ticket you have, you'll have to wait in another queue and buy ANOTHER ticket.

(Translated by Google) The scenery and the building are beautiful, but the exhibition itself is all about 20th century Romanian history and the tale of Dracula. It's not worth the money.

The family and I had a great outing at Bran Castle! The Interiors of the castle itself are nothing different than other European medieval churches we've visited. What makes this Castle extraordinary are the gardens, which are absolutely beautiful, and there efforts for adding more additional experiential activities to truly get to know the culture of the castle and the region such as the supernatural exhibits and the time travel elevator. What I also appreciated was that it wasn't just about Vlad and the Dracula Legend, but it was about the entire history with a really nice focus on Queen Marie and her daughter. We were there during the summer and so they also had a really great medieval summer garden open with activities for all ages. We had lunch at the food kiosk which was both very good and nicely priced and we were able to buy souvenirs at the medieval fair. Leaving the castle, we took advantage to stroll through the market and have a coffee at A really lovely cafe along the main street. Our kids really enjoyed the visit and learning about the history!
