I can almost imagine the castle being interesting... except for the hoards of people. There's a line of humanity stretching from the street and it winds its way through the castle. You're shuffling along with someone pressed behind you and in front of you. I guess if you really like standing in line and want to do it in a castle in Romania, then this place is for you. The 'people in charge' should really limit the number of visitors per day and not diminish their cultural heritage.

Overall a nice place but given its reputation - overrated. Worth a stop if you’re nearby or traveling to all kinds of places in Romania but not worth a dedicated trip from Bucharest. Peles castle is a much more interesting object.
