Crowded in peak season, but not terrificly so. Unique experience and great views. The fortress is well preserved and has good exhibits with descriptions in multiple languages. I've visited three times and would recommend autumn for both minimum crowds and optimal environmental beauty

Very nice visit. We recommend to buy priority or fast track as there is a lot of queue to enter the castle. There are many webs where you can purchase the tickets , only one is the official and have better prices. Also there are automatic machines to buy them and there’s not a lot of queues. You can visit also catacombs (new atractivos) and torture rooms. They have no so much interest but it’s a way to see all the castle rooms if you like it like me. 🅿️ There are many parkings near the castle , the nearest ones are full and you cannot pay with card. But you can find a bigger one about 500 metres from the castle where you can pay with card for 5 euros all the morning (4 hours) , the nearest ones costs 5 euros an hour !🥸
