The castle itself is gorgeous and the views are amazing, however they should definitely limit it to smaller groups (max 10) every couple of minutes. Instead they just let everyone in at the same time which creates these bottlenecks due to how tight the spaces are.

I think this is the most overrated castle in the world. We had to stand in the queue for an hour to get in, and inside the crowd was so bad, that it ruined the whole experience. Anyway you have not much authentic stuff to see.

The crowds were honestly worse than Versailles. ​It is sold as a "self-guided tour," but in reality, you don't get to set your own pace. Narrow corridors and tight staircases mean you are effectively propelled along by the constant pressure of the crowd pushing from behind. There is almost no chance to pause, take in a room, or read the information boards without feeling like you're holding up a human conveyor belt. ​On a positive note, nearby car parking was surprisingly cheap and convenient, but unfortunately, that was the easiest part of the trip. ​If you plan to visit, be prepared to feel rushed through tight spaces with very little breathing room.
