If you don’t like tourist traps, I do not recommend. The price is 90lei. I’d go for maybe for 20-30 it would be fine, but its so crowded, you wait in a queue constantly even in the castle… Cute place but not worth 90lei if you’ve been any medieval castle before… and they should fix the crowds by regulating how much people they let inside.

Biased review - I love history I visited and was left absolutely devastated after roaming the interior and seeing that none of it was original. They've plastered over the original walls with a good 6 inches and everything displayed in the castle, furniture etc, is imported. Everything has been completely renovated, nothing is old. On top of that, rooms dedicated to the Bram Stoker, Dracula novel are just tacky and a waste of space. There is hardly any evidence that Vlad Tepes ever visited the castle and they play up to this purely just to sell tickets. I'd go as far as to say, the experience is a scam although the castle and the view from it is beautiful.

I was expecting to hate this place as Dracula over commersialism but I was very wrong. A fascinating place which focuses on the Romanian royal family with just a nod to its ficticious connection. A stunning location.

De aceea toate camarutele erau ticsite de turiști care erau interesați de cum să faca cat mai multe si interesante selfi's. Foarte putini erau interesați de istoria acestui loc si daca incercai să citești descrierile de pe pereți, efectiv nu puteai pentru ca tot timpul era cineva care se baga in față ta. Sinceră.....castelul este foarte frumos dar mi-a parut rau de banii care i-am platit la intrare ; pentru ca efectiv nu am știut cum sa ies mai repede din aglomerația de acolo.
