The experience was all the more unpleasant as there were so many people (who, by the way, were standing in a seemingly endless queue), and the fact that there were so many of us in those narrow spaces only led to frustration and disappointment. I think this problem could be solved very easily if the number of people entering were limited. In addition, it would be nice to have the option to choose the language of the guided tour (something that, again, can be organized and displayed on the website), but where the focus is only on making money, there is no way that such a thing can exist. It's a great shame that we don't know how to value our history and offer tourists truly valuable experiences! A bit of a tourist trap, the real Dracula never lived here (Poenari castle in the Fagaras mountains is the real location).. it's a nice visit but very overpriced at 21 USD plus extras for some areas. The immediate area around the castle has shops selling trinkets and very overpriced food. For better choices and prices walk a few minutes down the road away from the castle area.

(Original) Castelul este frumos, are o istorie interesanta, dar pretul biletelor mi se pare exagetat. Am intalnit o situatie care mi-a rupt inima. O familie cu 3 copii care plangeau ca-si doresc sa intre, dar nu au putut sa o faca din cauza faptului ca pretul biletului este prea mare si financiar parintii nu si-au permis. Per total merita vizitat, este frumos, dar pretul ar trebui modificat putin sa fie accesibil pentru mai multa lume.

This place is very busy and very commercial (they really exploid the Dracula theme, which I don't really like). If you visit this place I would recommend going with a guide that can tell you about the castle. I did not go with a guide, but it probably would have made it a better experience. Below the castle there are some souvenir and food shops in (sort of) medieval style. This is quite a nice place.
