Beautiful surroundings in autumn. Very dramatic. Did a guided tour which provided additional information but if you read on your own, the guide is not a must. Time tunnel is skippable. I tried to skip it but the guided tour included it so I did it. Visited at 11.00, apparently it was less crowded than earlier.

Do Not Book the “Dracula & Castles Day Tour” Despite confirming twice by email that I wanted the option including entrance tickets to all three castles, I was unable to enter Peles Castle, the very first stop, because my booking had not been recorded correctly and tickets were sold out. The tour was poorly organized, with a late departure, a rude and aggressive driver, and a guide who provided virtually no information. The promised skip-the-line access was also not provided. After these failures, I had to abandon the tour and pay for my own train ticket back to Bucharest. I missed all the remaining stops and had to make my own arrangements. To make matters worse, the tour was supposed to finish around 7 PM but dragged on until midnight. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience involving poor organization, broken promises, wasted time, and additional costs. I strongly recommend choosing another tour operator.
