(Translated by Google) We bought tickets for “fast entry” and did not wait. Keep your ticket because it will be used for 3 entrances to the castle (Original)

(Translated by Google) The castle is small, not Dracula's real castle. It's worth a visit, but don't expect fireworks.

(Translated by Google) We were there in September, which is probably a bit of a low season, and we arrived quite early in the day, so the biggest tourist groups hadn't arrived yet, which was nice. There are various parking lots on the way there. It's easier to find a place the earlier you get there. Bought a ticket to the castle from a machine right at the entrance, it was easy. Feel free to buy a ticket for the torture exhibition at the same time, it was worth it, otherwise there is a ticket machine inside the castle at the exhibition so you can buy there if you change your mind. There are also tickets so you can go ahead of the queue to the castle, but since there wasn't a long queue, it was unnecessary. Inside the castle, you still follow a set route, you follow the arrows around to the different rooms. Now there weren't that many people, but I can imagine that during high season it can probably get really crowded and maybe a worse experience. The castle was otherwise very cozy and consists of a lot of smaller rooms on different floors. A very nicely preserved castle that has been renovated after communism. The castle has been used primarily for military purposes over the years until the Romanian royal family took over until the 1950s when communism took over everything. Something to keep in mind is that Vlad III never lived in the castle, which is happily claimed. Vlad must have ridden past a number of times but he probably never felt any warmth from the Saxons who owned the castle. However, if you want to see and visit Vlad's real castle and home, you should take the fantastic Transfagarasan road from Bucharest to Sibiu. On that road is Dracula's home, which is called Burg Poenari, or Poenari citadel, it's the same thing. There is an interesting story about it.

(Translated by Google) We loved the visit; the castle has a very curious architecture inside, and the exterior was magnificent. We expected it to be bigger, but it did not disappoint.
