(Translated by Google) Stunning, medieval, yet incredibly charming, a winter visit in the snow makes it even more evocative. A fairytale atmosphere. Atmosfera fiabesca.

I really enjoyed Bran castle! Built in the 14th century means there's a lot of history in this building and the perimeters. Visited in January, lots of snow around so if you're thinking of heading here during the cold climate then walking boots or shoes with a good grip are a must. We paid extra for the torture chambers and although not massive, it was interesting to see and read about the contraptions used to ply a confession out of the ungodly! Tickets were easily purchased via a machine, there are stewards nearby to assist if required. We did not queue to enter the castle, it was not overly crowded. Lots of ample parking nearby below the castle at a very reasonable cost. We paid around £4 for 4 hours. Lots of shops at the bottom of the castle for souvenirs including lots of eating places too. We spent in total, just under 4 hours here. I would recommend a trip here.

(Translated by Google) Additional paid entry to the torture chamber and underground during the tour is available for those interested. Besides the closure, there's a bazaar where you can eat, drink, and enjoy local produce. I recommend it. (Translated by Google) Bran Castle, also known in popular culture as "Dracula's Castle," gained international fame thanks to Bram Stoker and his numerous derivative works. In 1897, Stoker chose Transylvania as the setting for his famous Gothic novel Dracula, whose main character, Count Dracula, resides in a fictional castle. The location, according to Bram Stoker's novel, is the rocky group known as the "Twelve Apostles" in the Calimani Mountains, part of the Carpathian mountain range, near the Bistriţa Pass. Although Stoker never visited Romania, he describes it as a backward land, dotted with small medieval villages terrorized by vampires residing in Gothic castles. The castle is very small and not recommended for those with heart problems or mobility issues. The stairs are narrow and steep. If you're a nenica, like in our case, please help! You slip a lot, especially on the way up to the entrance. The castle is a great venue for private events and shows, with its well-appointed rooms. It's one of those places you have to see at least once in your life. The guides can't enter with groups; they'll leave you outside the gate. You can do it all on your own in twenty minutes, following the guidelines. So, buy your ticket online, not on the bus. You'll save time and money. This applies to all the castles in the area. Buy the tour but not the entrance fees. Buy them online. Avoid visiting on Sundays; you'll be packed in like sardines, and there's a lot of traffic on the way back.

Heard of Dracula? This is the castle credited to author Bram Stroker's Dracula's castle. It's an awesome experience, don't skip on the public market at the base, and definitely be sure to pay for the secret elevator in advance. The entrance is by the well, yes, there's an elevator. Wish they wouldn't lean in on the scary vibe, it's actually beautiful without fictionalized stories.. Once ya leave the elevator, go thru the store, and walk around the base of the castle. The North side is great to view. The history of Romania is explored. Have tea at the tea house...

(Translated by Google) Bran Castle is the quintessential Dracula's Castle and one of the must-see attractions in Transylvania. The medieval castle has been converted into a museum and is very popular with tourists. The exhibition tells the story of its former use as a residence and the history of vampires. The building is quite cramped in places, but the atmosphere is truly impressive.

(Translated by Google) The castle is as awful inside as it is outside. They call anything a castle these days. To get there, you have to climb a ramp that's dangerous, to say the least. Inside, the rooms are empty or half-empty, and everything is in deplorable condition. For 30 euros a ticket, you've been completely ripped off. And then they try to charge you another 20 euros to see the "torture chamber." So if you have the chance, don't go. It's simply pathetic. P.S.: If a guy named Santiago takes you there, don't believe a word he says.
