Eine etwas breitere Perspektive auf die Geschichte müsste bei einem Museum schon zu erwarten sein, auch wenn es in privater Hand der Nachfahren ist.

I went there last summer and its definetly the coolest castle ive ever been to. The medival arcitecture was beautiful and there was medival weapons and armour which vas the coolest part. there was also a courtyard with a well and the interior had furniture basicalle showing how the castle must have been furnished. The castle also tells usits history about the defence and about the ottoman invasion of the Balkans and i also got a small pencil sharpener of a tiny globe from the gift shop. overall the staff was kind and helped me figure out where the rooms where and how to get there and the place was beautiful. beat castle ive been to

I came 20 years ago when I was in college and it was great. Medieval items throughout and a freedom to wander. It has become a commercial place, complete with weird rooms about ghosts and other garbage. I won’t be coming back or bringing the kids. However, it is an interesting castle and unique attraction for those that don’t know any different.

The scare factor is practically zero; Vlad Tepež is depicted a little, and folklore and superstition are touched upon minimally. Gothic fans will certainly be disappointed. This place also has nothing to do with the Dracula myth. Unless, of course, you go to the market stalls... there's plenty of over-the-top merchandise there... Love at first bite. Es ist ein Pflichtprogramm bei einem Rumänienaufenthalt, also Augen zu und durch und einen riesen Bogen um die Extrabesichtigungen Tunnel und Folterkammer gemacht... es ist so ein schönes, knuffiges Schloss.. wir hätten sofort einziehen können.. wir hatten das Glück, in einer Zeit vom geringen Besucherstrom die Besichtigung durchzuführen. Nach unserem Besuch kamen Massen an Menschen, Busse und Schulklassen an.. da hätten wir uns richtig geärgert, aber so war es für uns ein schöner Aufenthalt.. Gruselfaktor ist gen Null, ein bisschen wird Vlad Tepež dargestellt und auf Folklore und Aberglauben wird minimal eingegangen.. Gothic Fans werden sicherlich enttäuscht sein. Dieser Ort hat auch nichts mit dem Dracula Mythos zu tun. Es sei denn, man geht an die Marktstände.. da gibt es genügend übertriebenes Merch.. Liebe auf den ersten Biss.
