Bran Castle is definitely cool to see, but unfortunately, I can only give the overall experience 3 out of 5. While walking around, I couldn’t help having two thoughts in the back of my mind: would Bran Castle be anywhere near as famous without Bram Stoker’s Dracula and all the Hollywood movies that followed? Probably not! And secondly, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the whole experience had become more of an opportunity to make money from the Dracula connection than anything else. The castle itself is interesting, with some great views and history, but for us, the overall experience simply wasn’t worth the cost or the time. We spent close to £60 for the family to enter, queued for over an hour, and then only spent around 30–45 minutes actually walking around the castle. The ticketing and entry system also felt quite disorganised, especially for such a famous and popular attraction. When you add everything together — the price, the long queue, the crowds and the relatively short amount of time actually inside — it just didn’t feel like particularly good value. There are so many beautiful and interesting things to see and do in this part of Romania that, personally, I’d rather spend the time and money exploring somewhere else. But that’s only my opinion! If you’re a huge Dracula fan or Bran Castle has always been on your bucket list, then it’s probably still something you’ll want to experience for yourself. 3 out of 5 from us. 🧛🏰

Very crowded. There were some displays but fairly sparsely decorated inside, with the exception of the torture room, which was quite well kitted out (and gruesome!) I know it's one of those things you think is a must for a visit to Transylvania but really you could probably find another more appealing castle out if the many that Romania has to offer and have a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Erst steht man mit vielen Leuten an, um zur online gebuchten Zeit eingelassen zu werden und am Ende wird man nur durchgedrückt oder steht an um in den nächsten Raum zu gelangen. Das Burg- Feeling mit seinen ganzen Geschichten & Mythen kann man leider nicht aufnehmen. Ist wahrscheinlich auch dem Zeitpunkt (Sommerferien) geschuldet. Parplätze vor Ort, sind auch reine Abzocke mit 8€/h 🙄. Wer kann, sollte sich eher eine der anderen sehenswerten Burgen im Land anschauen 🏰
