Despite its Dracula reputation, it's really just another royal residence filled with bedrooms, hallways, and late 19th- and early 20th-century furnishings. After the tenth antique table and ornate cabinet, it all starts to blur together. Add in the high ticket prices, long queues, and crowded tours, and it's hard to justify the time or expense. My recommendation? Enjoy the exterior, take in the dramatic setting, snap a few photos, and let your imagination fill in the rest. You may end up enjoying the experience more than those who spend time inside.

One of a lifetime experience! As a spooky, goth, vampire lover, this has been on my bucket list of places to visit and it was finally my time! Now, this of course is not actually Draculas Castle, but more of the inspiration for Draculas Castle. It was briefly inhabited by Vlad "The Impaler". The town of Brașov itself its BEAUTIFUL 😍. Mountains, trees, castles! The Castle itself is Grand! Seeping in history and I loved the "walk yourself tour" every room we entered, I found myself imagining how they used to love in that Castle. From the narrow, spiral staircases, to the princess room, stone narrow stairs AND a coffin room! I couldnt help back my tears as I couldnt believe I was in such a spectacular place. The views from the terrace of the castle to the grounds were just extraordinary. I know people say this is a tourist trap, but honestly i didnt care. Just visiting the castle and being able to walk the grounds, it was amazing for me. Definitely recommend visiting the town of Brașov and the castles if tou are ever in Romania. You won't regret it. I do recommend visiting during the week (Monday-Thursday) as the weekend they get super busy and it can be crowded with long wait times. We went on a Wednesday and there was no wait to get into the castle. We arrived around 11am, we had already bought tickets in advanced online for 12pm and were done by 1:30pm. We also visited the merchandise stands outside the Vaatle and bought aome souvenirs.
