For first timers to Brasov/ Romania, if you aren’t specifically visiting Bran as a fan of literature, I’d highly highly suggest skipping this. It’s 19€ per person, small and rather unassuming. By contrast, the Peles Castle (1hr away) is the same price with guided tour inclusive, scheduled time slots in English or Romanian. Tours and ticket sales end early, so go to the website and plan ahead.

Dracula wasn't in when we called, but lots of spooky and funny cinematic effects. Lots of stairs and some narrow passages, so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise, definitely fun and interesting to visit. Lots of tours from Bucarest, usually with Peles Castle and Brasov city, a pretty mediaeval centre, which can be bought from about £20 in advance. We were concerned about entry tickets, having heard repeatedly about long queues, so we bought them in advance online (from official site) but when we arrived there were at least 8 ticket machine and nobody waiting.
