Not very wheelchair friendly. And not following the schedule at all. You are better off with local bus that run 3x times more frequently than waiting an hour for these hop on hop offs. We got on first bus that terminated at stop 6. Then we waited on stop 6 for 30mins. A bus came and said it would terminate on stop 7. We waited for another 30 min and a bus came and stopped 200 m before the stop. My dad on wheelchair again had to manouver wheelchair and go off the stop to get on bus. Driver was very rude and did not wait for wheelchair to be parked and started moving bus. I asked him to stop till wheelchair is locked. It was a safety and health hazard to drive off without giving a min to wheelchair to park and lock. The driver name was Gu. The buses terminated at every stop whereas they shouldnt.

Such a brilliant experience! I went on the Blue Mountains in 2018 and used the Explorer Bus and it was brilliant then! The staff were all so friendly and helpful (in fact everyone in Katoomba seemed to be around town). The service itself is great, I don't know how else you'd get around the Mountains without using it. It drops off and picks up and all the stops, the map (both physical and online) has all the walks and information so it's really easy to navigate. I can't recommend this highly enough. It's just really disappointing the service only picks up once an hour now but we assumed that's because of the tourism and the demand being lower, which in itself is a shame because the Blue Mountains is one of my favourite places I've travelled in Australia. Thank you for such a brilliant and friendly service and giving us such interesting information on the tour :-).

Our Guide on the bus dated 13th Dec, 25 , 9.15 am was extremely great, he took lots of efforts to provide us with complete history of each location, and went out of his way to help my wife in boarding the bus due to her health issues. Each station he dropped and picked us up with a smile and was very patient in ensuring all of us safely boarded the bus. The route was well planned and all the stops we noticed the arrival of the bus was on time. highly recommend tourists to use their facility to understand Katoomba history as well as the places of visit to the Blue Mountain destinations. The book lets offered at the counter on top of the railway station was very resourceful, and the staff courteous. i ended buying blue mountain sweat top which was value for money.

Loved the tour. Guides were very good but hard to hear when on lower deck of bus. Much clearer on top deck. Excellent printed guide.

While the bus driver was extremely charming, fun and knowledgeable, the fact that the bus runs only once an hour for each stop made the price I paid for the one-day pass absolutely not worth it for me. 👎 It was faster and easier to walk between many of the stops than waiting for the next bus. Also, local buses run much more frequently. A shoutout to the driver Angus though — he did put a smile on everyone’s face. 😁
