My friend and I had a wonderful experience with this company! The overall tour itself was very informative, easy to follow, and extremely convenient especially for visiting tourists. The staff was especially helpful. After we thought all of the buses were done for the day as it was past working hours, we began to order an Uber, and I prayed we would make to it to our final destination in time for the last ride down the mountain. A Red Bus drove past the side street we were on, just HAPPENED to see us standing on the side of the road, parked his bus down the street, and walked all the way back to us to check if we were ok. He asked us if we needed a ride and proceeded to walk us back to the bus he had parked down the street. Apparently the buses were running for another few minutes, but either way, I have never seen such amazing customer service and caring faculty!! God is good. Wish I got the name of that bus driver, but regardless, highly recommend this company.

I love that all the tour guides were very passionate about their job and shared informative facts/info about the local places. Unfortunately, the day we visited was rainy and it completely ruined the experience due to all the buses not running according to the schedule/timetable on the booklet handed out. To make this matter worse, the buses didn't slow down when they got close to the bus stop and we had to wait at one stop for hours bc the drivers refused to slow down or pretend they didn't see us, a very bad experience indeed!

Best way to see the Blue Mountains. Plan to spend several hours at Scenic World.

Buses are not on time. Too expensive. It's better to use the Public Buses at a fraction of the cost. The QR Code on the bus stops is also not working

The Blue Mountains Explorer bus was a huge help for you visit to this region. Not only did the drivers provide good info and humor, the bus made it possible to hike more and visit Leura. And because we stayed in Katoomba, they validated our bus ticket for a second day for free. So we got 2 bus days and 1 day of Scenic World for AUD$99. I highly recommend that visitors without vehicles use this bus. AND their guide book is full of hike suggestions.

You need to plan your visit around the hours of the bus, because there’s only one bus per hour, you can’t make quick stops and can only see a few of the stops in a day. One circulating bus is not really enough, around noon there was a significant delay (we visited on September 21st). So it’s not really a ‘hop on hop off’ system. For us it was not really worth the money because we only went to Scenic world and back and we could’ve just taken public transportation. It’s important to know we’re traveling with our toddler and left Katoomba around 2.30 pm to go back to Sydney, if you are staying a full day you can make 1 of 2 stops more I guess. This is how our day went: we arrived at Katoomba station around 10.15 am, had to wait til 11 for the next bus, went straight to scenic world (before it gets too busy there), stayed there for 2 hours and maybe wanted to do one more stop but the bus was delayed so we decided to go to Leura station. The drivers were nice and had interesting things to say during the ride, and the staff was helpful to plan the day. Scenic world was amazing, the views from the cable cars were beautiful and the scenic walk as well. So all in all: would definitely recommend scenic world, and see for yourself if the bus is convenient for your plans, and know there’s public transportation as well. Maybe if you stay in Katoomba and have a longer day to visit the national park, it’s worth it.

Great tourist attraction. Drivers are very informative.

Great way to scope out the area. Did a loop to pick our stops then did one more circuit hopping off at what we wanted to see and do. It's just not the Three Sisters at katoomba.

In my opinion a waste of money if you want to get from Katoomba town centre to the main blue mountains locations, you can walk it in about 25mins or look at other bus services or taxi. The bus driver(s) are knowledgeable about the area, but they circulate every hour and we found you could walk 5/10mins to the next stop if you weren't using the cable cars etc. If you want to drag out your day driving round Katoomba or you are limited with mobility then this could be for you, otherwise find a cheaper alternative to reach the main blue mountains stops.

(Translated by Google) There are also public buses available that go to the gondola lift or Echo Point; we weren't aware of that beforehand. Furthermore, a large number of trails are closed, and the information about this is very confusing for first-time visitors. I don't think the Explorer Bus is absolutely necessary, especially since tickets for the public bus are cheaper. The bus only runs hourly (at least it did this winter). If you plan your itinerary carefully beforehand, you won't need the bus. It's a beautiful area that's easily explored by car or public bus. Planning ahead is also important because so many trails are closed, and the information about these closures is sometimes quite confusing.

We tried the explorer bus in early June 2023. A circuit on an explorer/hop-on hop-off bus is almost always a good way to get an idea of the sights and things you might want to come back to (on the bus or otherwise) at a destination. This bus is no exception. The ride, views, and commentary by the driver were all good. The booklet that acts as your ticket had a range of helpful information. The busiest stops are at Katoomba town centre, and Scenic World later in the day.
