Great guide, great tour

We had a lovely and great time! Our host Melissa was excellent; not only were the spots that she choose fantastic and provided a great overview for the Japanese kitchen, she also shared interessting experiences from her life in Japan and gave us a lot of tips. Amazing, delicious favorite foods of Osaka!

Minori was our very personable and knowledgeable guide for our Soul Food Tour of Osaka. She easily navigated us through the busy and bustling area of Dontonbori. We tasted 2 snacks, a meal and dessert. We were extremely full by the end. Wonderful to try the favorites of the area and the history behind them. Thank you for a great tour!

Fantastic Tour

Jacob our tour guide was excellent, he was fluent in Japenese and very knowledgeable about the Japenese culture and possessed a wealth of knowledge. He even assisted us in getting a cab to return us to our Hotel. This gentlemen is excellent at what he does and is an asset to his company.

Everything I was looking for in a tour

My friend and I wanted to see everything Shinjuku had to offer, and we were really excited to get a first look at the yokocho with a tour group. At first blush, we were a little disappointed when it turned out we were the only ones attending this tour, but that quickly turned into laughter and fun when we met our tour guide Adele. She was funny, charming, and extremely knowledgeable about the area having lived in Japan for 10 years. I wish I had a few more days to walk and chat with her about her experience, her perspectives on Japanese life and culture as someone originally from the west were fascinating. She took us to some places that I ended up revisiting later in my trip just to get another taste. Ultimately, with the exception of one or "Tour Guide" moments, the entire experience felt like catching up with an old friend. As someone who is a little shy at first, hanging out with Adele was some of the best quality socializing I had during my entire stay in Japan. So personally, I really appreciated that, it was one of the goals for my trip, to talk with locals as much as I was able. I think I'll come visit Japan again, and I'll definitely book another!

Absolute Osaka Food Tour with EK

We had a wonderful experience in a small group tasing several savory dishes with EK, a kind and knowledgeable guide. Food and drink choices were exactly what we were looking for to experience authentic local cuisine. Highly recommended!

The tour leader was the highlight

The meeting location on the Yamanote line was easy to get to and the tour guide Diante was there early ready and waiting. He had lots of interesting information about the area and we tasted delicious street food down the main shopping road - Yanaka Ginza. We walked around the neighbourhood, saw lots of cherry blossom and had our picnic in a park. He was aware of the mobility issues within the group and made adjustments accordingly. One of the tour members had a seafood allergy so our bento picnic food was chosen by us each individually from a combini. This was understandable but disappointing considering the price of the tour. I had envised a beautiful bento box. The tour guide took lots of photos, happily answered questions and had a bright and friendly personality. If not for him, I would have considered the tour hugely overpriced.

This is a must-do when you visit Osaka! Melissa is so knowledgeable & fun. She introduced us to new foods, Osaka specialties, and tailored it to my husband’s gluten-free requirements. Such a great way to start our time in this town.

An educational dinner experience.

My family and I did a food tour in Tokyo with Alex. He did an amazing job making sure we understood the history of the area as well as customs, eating styles, and a lot of information about the food. He was a gracious host who really tailored the tour to our needs. I highly recommend him, an absolutely fantastic experience.

Great food + area tour for entire family

Our family toured around with Kaz for 3 hours and had a great time. Our kids are 7, 10, and 13 and he was able to make the tour engaging for them as well as the two other ~20 year olds who were on our tour. It was nice having someone to guide us around Asakusa and the shrine as it was incredibly busy. It made it a lot easier to experience a bunch different food stalls and get context on the area.

We had a great time taking in the local shops, neighborhoods and restaurants. It was a nice way to learn about the culture and have an authentic feel for what it’s like to live in Osaka. We tried a lot of the local delicacies throughout the tour which were amazing and ended our day with a picnic in the park surrounded by cherry blossoms. What a fun and beautiful experience from start to finish.

A night to remember

My wife and I were lucky enough to get Clara to guide us on a food tour along the lantern lit river during the cherry blossom time on 3/26/26. Absolutely enchanting. Clara was genuinely focused on our interests and guided us through a truly memorable experience of tastes and sights made even better by warm and casual conversation.
