Delightful Food & Culture Experience!

My husband and I did the best of Shibuya food tour with Yasmine. We enjoyed trying foods from various regions of Japan, and the restaurants we visited were authentic and delicious! We tried places we would have been unlikely to venture to on our own, which is such a plus. Yasmine provides much more than a food tour, we loved learning more about Japanese culture and life in Tokyo. Highly recommend the tour and Yasmine!

Beyond food but the Japanese way with Ray!

Ray was an amazing, informative, fun and engaging food tour guide. He not only took us to places we would never had tried but shared the history of Japanese food from different regions. He taught us how to remember popular phrases and words related to eating along with etiquette of the Japanese life. We highly recommend a tour with Ray.

Visited Japan for 3 weeks. Went with Wessley on a food tour. He showed us first around the area where we met, gave some info, very intresting. Then we went to a three differnt restaurants - appetizer, lunch,desert. He explained and answered our questions in detailes.

Lecker und lustig!

Wir hatten einen sehr unterhaltsamen Rundgang mit Diante Fogle, der uns in die unterschiedlichen Spezialitäten aus Japans Küche eingeführt hat. Am besten gefallen haben uns die Fun Facts über Osaka und der Rundgang durch kleine Gässchen. Es war super!

Unser Guide Liana war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Sie hat uns einen guten Einblick in die Kultur und Geschichte ujis gegeben. Sie war sehr aufmerksam und organisiert. Die Herstellung von Matcha im Familienbetrieb fand ich etwas zügig abgefertigt zumal wir eine MatchTour gebucht hatten.

Shinsekai with Sebastian!

We took a daytime tour of the Shinsekai neighborhood with our awesome tour guide Sebastian. He took us to places to eat we would have normally strolled right past and got us set up with local delights. He also found us a shaved ice the size of a boulder. Amazing. Along the way, he shared all kinds of knowledge about the neighborhood. A great tour from a great guy.

Fantastic local food with fantastic local guide!

We did this tour and Nagi was our guide. Her English was very good and as a local Hiroshima girl she was able to take us to some fantastic places, a craft Japanese brewery, with some sides to eat, the sake tasting shop was excellent and the mushroom mousse we had as a side was incredible! Lastly we went to the 4th floor of the okonomimura building to try the traditional okonomiyaki at a specific eatery that has its own special noodles made for it - it was amazing! Do this tour - highly recommend!!

Amazing tour guide

We had an amazing tour with Yappy! He was personable and warm. He made us laugh and also shared his culture and language with us. We used some of his helpful phrases for the rest of our trip! We had the freshest of tuna and huge oysters! He told us fun stories and was very prepared. We would do any tour with Yappy! Thanks so much!

Kyoto walking and food tour

We had an evening walking and food tour with Morten in Kyoto. We had a great evening with some awesome food and sweet treats. Morten was a great guide, we talked about Japanese history and we were given an introduction to Kanji. My wife is vegetarian and there were options in all the places we went to. Thanks for a great time!

entertaining, umami filled and great fun fish market tour

Hugely enjoyable tour with our enthusiastic guide, Yappi, starting with the best cup of coffee in Tokyo followed by a light breakfast and a few appropriate new words. Then an intensive tour of the fish market with tastings and a delicious picnic at the end. Who knew oysters could grow to be so big! We tasted the finest sashimi, and other delicacies previously unknown to us (might give sea urchins a miss in future but you’ve got to try them to know!).

We had a great food tour in Shibuya. Our guide was Saika and she was wonderful, entertaining and knowledgeable. She knew the area well. She took us to wonderful restaurants, and we had a great variety of Japanese food. It was a lot of food to eat, maybe a little too much, but we enjoyed it very much and learned a lot. The food was delicious and the house was extremely engaging. Don’t hesitate to book this tour.

We had a terrific evening with François exploring the amazing Shimbashi district. He's knowledgeable, funny and took us to places we'd never have discovered. Also, do arrive hungry! Would absolutely recommend his services, he is full of interesting tips, helpful advice, and we had a wonderful experience as part of our first trip to Japan.

A great experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Alex. He introduced us to the Shinjuku area of Tokyo really well, explaining some of its history and quirky culture as we moved around. We stopped at four places and had an excellent range of food. Each place was quite a different experience and included restaurants that we would never have tried without a guide. Thank you Alex.

Our guide Ike led an amazing tour of Osaka. He took us places we never would have found on our own, sharing his vast knowledge of the region and food traditions along the way. Highly recommended!

Fun start to Japan vacation

Shigeki gave us a varied and fun tour of the area around Tsukiji Outer Market that included more than food. We visited a Buddhist Temple in the area, as well as a kitchen supply shop, a knife stall, and a ceramics shop. He had pre-ordered some food at a restaurant that caters to night shift workers and he spent some time coaching us on appropriate table manners in Japan. Then we walked through the market picking up food along the way, some snacks, before sitting down to enjoy various types of tuna (yellow fin and blue fin, real wasabi paste he ground from the root at our table, and local fruits). Finally we stopped for frozen desert wrapped in a fish shaped “cone”. Shigeki was friendly and interesting and we enjoyed our 3 hours with him.
