My friend and I booked a 6+1 days tour with Arctic Adventures from 17th Oct to 23rd Oct. It was an amazing tour experience with the guide Hulmer. Hulmer is knowledgeable, communicative, humorous and friendly, he’s familiar with the places’ histories and information, he also shared many stories about his personal experience and Icelandic’s life, in fact for someone like me from Malaysia, it’s quite insightful and interesting to listen. He would tell us the nicest spots to check out Northerrn lights. He’s also a good driver and safety is always his priority. I was truly enjoying every moments of the trips. Everywhere was beautiful and clean, I couldn’t keep my eyes off from watching the scenery even in the cars. All the accommodations that Arctic Adventures arranged also a plus point, all got beautiful views from the windows and unique lodges that I would not forget. Highlights of the tour, a touching moment when seeing whale and seals up close, saw aurora on the second night of the tour, first time seeing crater with lava and flying snows, spotted a reindeer from a far and good experience exploring glacier and hot bath in Mývatn Nature Baths. The 1 day tour guide, Nils made the trip more fun by having some games during the tour. We also joined the snorkeling tour in Silfra, the tour was well organized, Marketa was our instructor/ guide, she was patient, helped us to wear the dry suit and mask. She’s always around us by making sure we’re safe and took photos for us especially me, I was clumsy in the water. But she helped me to swim further and seeing more in the water. While returning to the shore, she came to check on me whether I was okay then off she went to help the rest, but I didn’t know the water current was so strong for me, I was lucky that another instructor was helping to go back to the shore, they focused on safety first. What an experience on the snowy day! Hope you all will also enjoy the tour with Arctic aadventures.

I joined the Silfra snorkeling tour with Arctic Adventures, but my experience was ruined by the guide, Andrew. While I was completely comfortable in the water, he suddenly pulled me out without any clear explanation or instruction. I was confused and embarrassed, and no one offered to help me remove the heavy, freezing wetsuit afterward. I later contacted the agency to understand what happened, but they refused to explain or issue a refund. I’m still unsure why I was removed from the water when I was doing fine — I’m a confident swimmer and had no issues at all. This was one of the most disappointing moments of my trip. I expected professionalism and support, but instead felt dismissed and ignored. I hope Arctic Adventures trains their guides to communicate better and treat guests with respect.

What an incredible trip! Iceland is beautiful in so many ways. It is like another world with so much to see and do. I can definitely see myself going back again. Our tour guide and driver, Maggie, was amazing. She is such a dynamo! She shared history, lore, tips, music and kept us safe through some scary weather. She was caring and helpful to everyone in the group. I especially appreciated her help with our heavy suitcases and getting into our overalls for the whale watching trip. LOL

Had the best trip with Lili, she had amazing lunch recommendations taking us to local farms and bakeries. We had heaps of time at each stop which was really nice not to be rushed. She was very knowledgeable about everywhere we went. The accommodation we stayed at was really nice and a perfect place to see the northern lights.

My trip to Iceland was fun, had a large variety of activities, and was full of facts about the country and culture. Our CEO, Lili, was fun, responded quickly, and was full of information. 5 stars

This was an excellent tour. All you need to get a good taste for what Iceland has to offer, but leaving you wanting more. It’s been weeks back home and I still have my heart in Iceland. I had a truly amazing first trip to the country and I largely credit it to our tour guide, Ronan. We had a group of 18 and it was so smooth. He is really fantastic at what he does. He’s engaging, professional and has a genuine enthusiasm for sharing Iceland and its culture with his guests. I love a group tour, I love how brainless the trip can be. I just follow whatever the guide says and I’m good. All experience and no effort. This is when a good guide is crucial. I feel like Ronan prioritizes the safety and experience of his guests. He connects you with the culture so you know the stories and cultural significance of what you’re seeing. You’ll leave the trip having fallen in love with Iceland, its culture and people. He helped us experience the aurora borealis, had alternate destinations when sites weren’t weather permitting, and helped find experiences on the fly for those not participating in optional activities. He’s also make genuine connections with the local business and other guides and has a knack of knowing what’s good in the area, tips so that you’re not waiting in line for food like the other people on other tours. Did I mention he’s got an impressive playlist so it’s not boring on the drives between stops. He’s incredibly mindful of the guest experience that it makes for incredible memories. Trip would not have been the same without him! Thanks Ronan!

We did the glacier hike with Daniella as our guide- she did a great job. Lots of details about the glacier and how it behaves. But also how dangerous they can be with crevasses and holes. The hike wasn't particularly difficult, but it wasn't that easy either.

I’m writing this with a heavy heart because this was the one experience I was most excited about in Iceland. I booked the Silfra snorkeling tour with Arctic Adventures after confirming multiple times that swimming skills were not required. Yet, when I arrived, the guide refused to let me participate — saying I couldn’t join without being a strong swimmer. I had flown all the way from New York just for this adventure, only to be turned away at the site. No empathy, no flexibility, and not even a refund. I ended up paying the full amount for absolutely nothing. It’s heartbreaking to travel across the world for a dream experience and be denied without warning. I truly hope Arctic Adventures takes this feedback seriously and communicates requirements more clearly — so no one else feels this level of disappointment.
