(Translated by Google) I was promised mosquitoes and an adventurous trail, and what did I get? Nothing! Just scorching sand as soon as you disturb it. No tour booked, 30-minute walk, got ice cream along the way, and a flashlight came in handy. ✌🏻

(Translated by Google) It's a cenote close to Tulum, but the entrance fee is expensive, you have to wear a life jacket, and flippers aren't allowed, so I didn't like it. (After visiting more than 10 cenotes as a free scuba diver) Still, I can see it growing. There are lockers, but there is a fee.

Great place, no place to sit except the floor but we swam for 4 hours since the water was so nice and it’s mostly covered from the sun.

(Translated by Google) The cenote itself is truly beautiful. The water is clear and not too cold. We saw many turtles, bats, and small fish. Unfortunately, the staff, except for the one who checks the tickets and lets you in, isn't particularly friendly. You buy the tickets from someone behind a mirrored window, whom you can barely understand and can't see. The employee who issues goggles and snorkels ignored me at first, then spoke to his colleague for a bit, and then at some point held out his open hand, which seemed to indicate that I should give him my ID as a deposit. I was in the water for about 30 minutes without a life jacket to dive and was then summoned out of the water with a whistle. Apparently, you're not allowed to dive here or go into the water without a life jacket, but that's not stated anywhere. Unfortunately, very little has been done to make this very beautiful place worth living. The complex, apart from the cenote itself, looks largely shabby and cheap. The seating is provided by cheap plastic chairs, the "showers" are cobbled-together pipes, the toilets are disgusting, and the sinks in the restrooms are out of order. It's a shame they didn't make more of it, especially since the 500 pesos entrance fee shouldn't leave you short of cash. This makes the whole thing vastly overpriced, and the price is by no means justified. We arrived by taxi, as bicycles are strongly discouraged, and were lucky that a taxi was waiting outside the entrance as we left to take us back. But this was the only taxi there. If you've already been to another cenote, I would probably advise against visiting. We arrived around 11:00 a.m., and it was already crowded, but still bearable.

(Translated by Google) It's not very deep. I think the water is clean and there is no need to wear a snorkel or goggles. Swimming with bats in the cave on the left was a really interesting experience. Turtles and natural beauty are truly beautiful. Entrance fee is 500 pesos or 30 usd. Once you exit, you cannot enter again. Don't forget what you will take with you. There is a locker inside, but it costs 30 USD. 🫢

By far one of my favorite tours so far! Let’s begin our day at 8:45 am. Where you get picked up at a supermarket(the hub point for tour pickups). Get into a 13 passenger truck- that was tight! Luckily it was a short trip to get to the Mayan jungle. We get split into groups- those going to the atv experience and the horseback riders. Our guide Angel, took us to meet our horse and connect with them! Then we ride about 25 minutes to hit the cenote. This cenote was incredible!!!! It’s a must not miss experience! It was a cave! It was dark and there were tight spaces! But Angel was soo amazing at guiding us and informing us! After the cenote, we got back on our horses and rode to the starting point where we had some lunch. The lunch was rice and beans, taquitos de pollo (thinly rolled up tacos with chicken) and some huevos con tortillas (eggs and fried tortillas). It reminded me of home- it was so delicious! We also got a ceremonial Mayan cleanse- which was really sweet to learn about. Then it was get back on your transfer van and back to your hotel! All in all, this was a super fun experience and our guide was passionate and funny! He made sure that we were having a great time!
