Amazing guide in an amazing place!

We were lucky enough to have Lou as our guide to the beaches of Normandy. Lou was amazing. She was so knowledgeable and made the history of the place come alive for us. I felt like we spent the perfect amount of time in each place, and she led us around expertly to avoid crowds. It was an amazing experience and I would absolutely recommend it.

Well worth it!

Such a great experience! Our guide Ugo was amazing, great conversationalist and so much knowledge. We were only a group of 3 which probably added to the experience, it felt personalised and a lot of time to ask questions and chat. The Chateaus were beautiful, the first Chateau had really interesting practices that were good to learn about. The town of Saint Emillion was beautiful. Overall the tour is well worth doing and a great way to spend a warm day if you are interested in wine.

Great tour, our guide was very knowlegeable and managed our time very well. Would recommend as we were able to see Omaha beach, Pounte de hoc, and America cemetery

The guide Francesco was knowledgeable about Alsace wine, giving us much background information and facts about the wine in this region, as well as comparison with wines of other regions. He was super-friendly and talked in an interesting and humorous manner. The wines tasted were fine and allowed us to appreciate the different characteristics and flavours of wines from different grape varieties. We enjoyed the trip very much much.

The boat ride and cliff visits were great. However the possible cancelation warning due to weather conditions did not mention the cliff visit could also be impacted. The wine tasting was not great. The wine makers could not be bothered to present the wines and our guide had to substitute. These are planned in advance so no excuse for not having an appropriate host available with focus on our group. The wines were not thay good, which was very disappointing. Even though the group did not ask for an outside tasting we were forced to have it out in the wind with the background noise of the highway, and also had to deal with bugs. I'm allergic to pollen and voiced the need for inside 3 times and wa completely ignored. The van was tight and uncomfortable. We were back early which doesn't help feel this was good value. We feel we should have invested in renting a car instead.

A Tremendous Afternoon

A tremendous afternoon. Our guide was good fun, very knowledgeable and nothing was a trouble. She imparted a lot of information and did so in a really interesting way. The wines were excellent and the visit to St Emilion village was memorable.

Excellent experience and explanation of all the joys and sorrows of Sarlat, along with a taste of the culinary treasures

Anna was our guide and she was absolutely wonderful. Folks should know this tour is an overall experience and understanding of Sarlat-La-Caneda. Walking to historic spots, learning about the 1200 year old history of the town, and seeing the elements of its relatively recent renaissance. Learning of the emotional meaning of many landmarks for the local people added to the heart of the tour. Along with this is a taste of the foods Sarlat is known for and an immersive experience in the Sarlat Saturday market. Our family enjoyed this very much- there wasn’t any part of it that was poorly structured or handled. We’ve been on a lot of food tours all over the world and this was in the top 3 for sure!

Convenient day tour if staying in Dijon

Valentin was an excellent tour guide. Not only did we learn about the region but he enriched us with the local history. He shared details not found in guide books and little anecdotes about people, the characters that make this place so special. It was a great way to spend the day
