One of the best tours of any I’ve been on.
Truly exceptional tour. Matt was extraordinarily knowledgeable not just about the battles and details but has clearly spent quite a bit of time researching and understanding both the human and global piece of this area’s history and the D-Day battles specifically. Matt was fun and interesting and just a great storyteller, who brought the history to life. Just phenomenal.

Perfect day tour in Alsace
The tour is well organised with plenty of time in the stops. The walks are well paced and the guide provides lots of information. The free time in the stops are a bit short but enough for a quick walk around some nice spots.

The trip overall was wonderful. Rodolphe was an amazing guide. He was very informative and interactive during our tours as well as the drive. We had some rain, so didn’t get to tour the chateaus, but they still made the experience a great time.

Nice experience to see and learn more about wine and how it’s made. Our guide and driver, Rudolph was excellent and explained the history and other details of the places we visited.

Absolutely moving experience
We just ended our tour with Matt and we are thrilled. We took this tour because we were very interested in the D-Day landing beaches in Normandy. But his explanation highly exceeded our expectations. He made it sound like a thriller, gradually gathering momentum while speaking about the differences between the Germans and the Allies. And then actually visiting the places where the landing took place... the bunkers, the German defending positions, the actual facts about the landing and the soldiers.. just incredible and absolutely moving!

Highly recommend this trip. Hugo was an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly guide and the wine tasting was great. Saint-Emilion is well worth visiting and has lots of lovely shops.

Jam packed half day
Wonderful experience with Hugo. Crammed as much into a half day trip as possible. Very knowledgeable on the wines, wine making process, the region and many more topics in fact! Would recommend to any interested small group. Only change I would make would be to book a longer trip!

Matt was a wonderful guide! Finding the meeting point was easy and the car was very nice and clean. He was so knowledgeable and did a wonderful job at honoring those who gave their life. I learned so much on this tour and I’m so glad we had this experience!
