Borghi da favola

Era un mio desiderio visitare l'Alsazia con i suoi borghi fiabeschi, i vigneti della route dei vini e devo dire che le mie aspettative non sono state deluse. Colmar e i pittoreschi borghi di Hequisheim, Riquewihr, Kaysember e Ribeauville sono meravigliosi con le loro stradine di pietra, i negozietti, i nidi di cicogna sui tetti e i vasi stracolmi di fiori. Se poi si vuole gustare un calice di vino bianco ogni locale ha una buona scelta.

Excellent tours in the areas around Sarlat.

This was a fabulous tour! Lena was the guide and it was a very small group. The tour allows you enough time to enjoy the towns, which are generally small, but very cute. Lena took us around some and others just pointed out the sights as it was very obvious what to do. I also was with Lena the next day for Rocamore and enjoyed that with her also. She was a terrific guide. Nice manner about her and very knowledgeable.

A great wine tasting tour - highly recommended

A great day out, the scenery is stunning, the Chateaus are beautiful and there is so much to learn about wine production. Our guide Helene was good fun and super knowledgeable. We visited 3 winerys and had a wander around the beautiful Unesco heritage town of St Emillon. If you are in Bordeaux for a few days I can highly recommend this tour, it gives a great sense of the region..

The “Journey into Prehistory” was fascinating! Ann was an excellent guide and her knowledge, energy, sense of humor, and passion about the subject matter kept us engaged and interested for 8 hours! The Prehistoric Museum and the caves were incredible-not to be missed when you are in the part of the country. This introduction to Prehistory of the area inspired me to want to learn more so I bought a book to supplement the tour. Based on my experience of this tour, I would definitely use Ophorus again and request our tourguide Ann! Merci beaucoup for a great day!!!

Seeing the prehistoric art was awe inspiring and thought provoking. Our guide, Ann, was knowledgable and entertaining. She made the day fun! The guides in the 2 caves were excellent. The museum at Les Eyzies is impressive and quite well done. We enjoyed the lunch break which gave us the opportunity to visit with our fellow travelers and a quick walk. The art is the star of this tour but the building at Lascaux IV is also interesting. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

Very knowledgeable guide and we tasted so many wines. I liked the fact that it was limited to a small group. With such a personable guide drawing everyone into the conversation it was a very enjoyable experience.

The tour was good and the guide, Benoit, was excellent. We were picked up on time in a comfortable van. The day was very hot so we appreciated the air conditioning in the van! The two towns are beautiful and quite walkable. In each town we were given an overview by the guide and given about half an hour to walk around. The boat ride allowed people to view the river landscape and the village and castle from the water. We would have liked to have visited the inside of the castle at Beynac but there wasn't time. Overall, it's a good tour to acquaint one with the 2 villages and the Dordogne River.

A lovely guide drove us through part of the wine trail, she spoke very good english and had a great sense of humour. We visited two friendly producers and had the opportunity to taste numerous wines.

Takes one to incredible prehistory. In simple English they are awing. I’ve wanted to see them since I saw the movie about their recreation was released. I cannot imagine not being taken away by them. Our 5our guid e was terrific and so knowledgeable.

Enjoyable experience in Alsace

Very well organized. Interesting traditional wineries. Beautiful landscape. Friendly guide. We had an amazing day enjoying the precious little towns, the wines, the great food and our guide, Arthur, was friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us around more the we expected We 100% recommend the experience !!
