- Approximately 90% of this tour takes place on the ancient Roman basolato (cobblestones) of the Appian Way (Via Appia Antica), with no vehicular traffic.
- A minimum level of cycling experience is required. Please note that the Appian Way is paved with ancient Roman basoli (cobblestones), not asphalt, which requires competence to avoid falls. Only two brief crossings on roads open to light traffic are necessary (to access the Aqueduct and Caffarella Parks).
- A short assessment test will be conducted before departure. The guide reserves the absolute right to deny admission to any participant deemed unsuitable due to lack of ability or health concerns. No refund will be issued in such cases.

A wonderful bike ride
I had a fab time cycling the outskirts of Roma today. It was a wonderful experience admiring nature and animals and learning about the complex and deep history of Roma.
A must-see in Rome
Incredible experience, very beautiful places with a lot of history. The guide Matteo was very knowledgeable and kind the whole time. This tour is truly a must-see in Rome
Easy to find location and Paul at the check in booth was extremely helpful and a delight to work with!! Old Rome country
Easy to book, great staff (Paul), and an excellent way you can explore old Rome country! Gorgeous
Highly recommended. A wonderful bike tour for those looking for an escape from the bustle of downtown Rome.
Highly recommended. A wonderful bike tour for those looking for an escape from the bustle of downtown Rome. Ricardo, our private tour guide, was excellent. Laidback and fun with a deep knowledge of local history. He made the trip fascinating. The ride through the park was beautiful. Roman and Medieval ruins and aqueducts and birds too! Just challenging enough to feel like a real adventure. E-bikes worked just fine and were fun to ride.
Amazing tour highly recommended especially with Riccardo
The tour was amazing and our guide Riccardo was fabulous. We started in the mausoleum with the tour of artifacts. Then the VR tour was amazing and interesting. The whole family enjoyed. Then we went on the e-bike tour with Riccardo - so knowledgeable about the surroundings. Great history information and he was patient with the family (ages ranging from 70+ to 3). He provided stories to bring us into the history of the area. We couldn’t have been happier with this tour. Highly recommend
