Full description
Over 3.5 hours, a local guide leads you through the Gothic Quarter, El Born and Barceloneta, stopping at five neighborhood favorite stops for 6 tastings and 3 drinks. Expect a traditional bodega where wine is drunk the Catalan way, straight from a spouted glass jug; a Basque bar with a long counter of local bites to pick from; and a third-generation tavern in Barceloneta’s oldest house serving the seafront’s signature noodle dish. The legendary bomba makes an appearance too, and a regional pastry finishes things on a sweet note.
Between tastings, you’ll hear how Barcelona’s past shaped its dishes: Roman walls, a church built by local hands, the siege of 1714 and the birth of a seaside neighborhood.
Groups are capped at 12, the pace is easy, and vegetarian and gluten-free guests are well catered for.

Your guide will be waiting for you in front of the church, next to the fountain, and wearing our purple Eating Europe bag! Please aim to arrive 15 minutes early, so the tour can start on time. You do not need to print out a page to join the tour - showing us the confirmation email you will receive on your phone is fine!

- Children under 4 years old do not need a ticket and can join the tour for free. However, food is not included. Paid tickets with food included are available for ages 4 and up.
Know before you go
- Wear flat shoes – it is, after all, a walking tour, so be comfortable.
- Please bring a bottle of water – although we do have drinks stops throughout the tour, walking can be thirsty work.
- Come hungry. You’ll be tasting lots of food!

Cancellation policy
A public tour can be cancelled with a full refund up to 24 hours before tour departure. A private tour can be cancelled and fully refunded up to 7 days before tour departure
