Zion van tour with Art
We were picked up on time at our pick up spot. Heading to Zion, Art was insightful and gave us historical and geographical information about the towns and landscapes as we drove to Zion. Plenty of water available and very mindful of restroom stops. When dropped off at Zion, we had clear instructions where to meet after hiking on our own in the park. Art took us to many view stops after our hike, for lots of viewing and picture taking! Wonderful day and Art was the best!
Zion Tour Day
Overall, the day was great. Our tour guide Earl was very nice and knowledgeable. The weather was absolutely perfect for the day trip. The park was not as crowded as it could have been which was very nice! I didn't get to see everything that I wanted to, but that is because the park is too big, and the tour company can only provide so much during a single day trip. If planning a trip to Zion, you definitely need a couple of days to experience everything. The reason this is not a five-star rating is because of the communication from Sweetours and the choice of transportation. I have done a lot of tours in my time, and I was surprised by how little communication there was from the company. In fact, I had to call the day before to make sure the tour was even still happening because I had not heard anything. There were seven of us on this trip. This is a great tour size. However, cramming all of us into a GMC Yukon was not ideal. We were all of various sizes and heights. This vehicle had a third-row seating option, but it was laughable. There was no leg room in the third row. The time spent in the vehicle was very uncomfortable. I highly recommend investing in mini vans or something similar, because the GMC Yukon is not comfortable for more than 4 people.
An amazing trip
This was one of my favourite days out - ever! An amazing trip in a beautiful place. Our tour guide was superb and made the day so special for us - he was determined to give us the best experience and he certainly did. Zion National Park is a stunning place. Highly recommended.
Great local tour operator
Gonzalo our driver was outstanding. We had a small group and he was very accomodating and explained everything we should do, see and experience. Multiple pit stops in between if necessary, most importantly got us back to our hotels safely. Zion Natinal Park is breathtaking, multiple walking trails, can get crowded, but certainly worth it.
A lot of time is spent...
A lot of time is spent travelling. Of the 3.5 hours actually in the park, very little (40 minutes) was walking in the park. Most of the time was quick photo ops in and out of vehicle. The tour offered a continental breakfast and box lunch plus water. We received a full breakfast and no lunch was provided. We purchased lunch but not until 4 pm and no snacks (which the ad stated) were provided making the time between meals very long. Small group (5) travelled in an SUV with far back seats having limited view and little leg room. The driver was knowledgeable and provided lots of information along the way. The park is stunning and well worth a visit.
