West side market
We really enjoyed our tour with Carol! She was so knowledgeable about the market’s history and was truly authentic in her enjoyment of all the shops! The food we tasted was delicious and we enjoyed seeing her interaction with the vendors. We have been to the market before, but agreed that this tour was terrific!
Tasty tour
Fun and informative tour of a wonderful market! Lots of great food offerings and friendly vendors. Food samples are small and varied. Guide does a good job describing the food and vendors.
Underwhelmed
Underwhelmed is the best way to describe the tour. Our guide Carol was knowledgeable, professional, and an excellent guide. The tour itself left a lot to be desired. I’m glad that I ate beforehand. There were approx 7 stops within the West Side Market, lots of sweets, too many. I’ve done lots of food tours in different cities, same price point, and usually leave full and happy. These samples were tiny, and didn’t make sense, sequentially. The first stop was a hot dog stand where each participant was given, a small piece of hotdog, no bread, no condiments. The next stop was a bakery, where we received a small piece of apple fritter, then a juice stand, where we received a bottle of water, and a condiment cup of juice. There was a cup of yogurt with granola. Dried fruit and vegetables, shared from 1 container. An olive sampler, tiny pieces of cheese, no crackers, olive oil and pieces of bread, small pieces of jerky and chocolate covered pretzel and a buckeye. I thought that this tour left a lot to be desired.
Fabulous Foodie Tour
Had a wonderful tour with Carol, who was a Cleveland native and knew so much about the market! I like old architecture, so it was fun learning about the history of the Market and background of the vendors- plus great food!

Be adventurous and try everything!! And if going in the winter time bundle up it can get very cold in there. Carol was our tour guide and was fantastic. All the vendors were amazing.
