Itinerary
Pass by: The people who live in Trastevere, the medieval maze of curving alleys and piazzette on the west bank of the Tiber, believe that their neighborhood is the only true Rome — and its inhabitants the only true Romans. In the heart of the most characteristic district of Rome, Trastevere, it is located in the basement of an 18th-century building, the Catina Fabulous. An authentic underground cellar, obtained from the careful and skillful recovery of a Roman cistern from the 1st century AD, furnished with antique objects and furniture that make this place unique. Original Roman marble, ancient artifacts, furniture, and things related to the production of wine decorate the walls and wooden shelves, which make this place welcoming and pleasant. Over the years, this cellar has become a place for tastings of excellent products for lovers of products with authentic taste and faithful to the ancient tradition of Italian food and wine culture.
The Fabullus winery is the ideal place to live and share an experience in which food and wine balance each other in a perfect combination of tastes. It is a true sensory and informative journey in a perfectly preserved ancient environment, during which you can appreciate and learn about many aspects and secrets of the Traditional Italian food and wine art. In the heart of the most characteristic neighborhood of Rome, Trastevere, the Wine Cellar Fabullus is located in the basement of an 18th century building. An authentic underground cellar, obtained from the careful and skillful recovery of a Roman cistern from the 1st century BC, furnished with antique objects and furniture that make this place unique. Our philosophy is to combine pleasure with the history of Italian culinary culture by selecting excellent products by combining them with high quality wines that express the essence of our peninsula.

Great Wine Tasting!
This was a wonderful tasting experience! We were hung up with traffic and ended up being a little bit later than the suggested arrival time, and the hosts could not have been more kind about it. We were shown to a table in a beautiful wine cellar room, with a spread already set out for us. They guided us through a classic tasting experience, explaining the wines and where they were from and what they best pair with. We got the option that did not also include a dinner so we had cheeses and meats along with fruit spreads and olives, but there was plenty there to fill someone up! We didn’t feel rushed at all, and the hosts were very kind and accommodating. This was a very nice, classic Roman wine tasting experience I would recommend to everyone!
If you love wine, you'll love this!
A must do for wine lovers! Located in a beautiful wine cellar, this experience is very special and you feel like you've VIP treatment all throughout due to the cellar only having 5 tables. Ginevra & her team are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to host. It was a birthday surprise for my other half & we thoroughly enjoyed it. What a special time!
