Begin your private Burgundy wine tour with a convenient hotel or accommodation pickup in Dijon or the surrounding area. Meet your English-speaking local guide, a knowledgeable Burgundy wine expert, who will introduce the day’s itinerary and share essential insight into the region’s prestigious vineyards, appellations, and winemaking heritage.

Travel in comfort aboard a premium air-conditioned vehicle as you leave Dijon and head south into the celebrated

Côte de Nuits wine region.

Route des Grands Crus Drive

Follow the legendary Route des Grands Crus, often called Burgundy’s “Champs-Élysées”, on a scenic drive through some of France’s most iconic wine landscapes. Pass through historic wine villages including Fixin, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, and Vosne-Romanée.

Admire the patchwork of vineyard plots, stone villages, and gentle slopes that define Burgundy’s UNESCO-listed wine country. Your guide will explain the importance of Burgundy’s climats, the precisely defined vineyard sites whose soils, exposure, and traditions give each wine its distinctive character.

Romanée-Conti Vineyard Stop

Pause for memorable photographs beside the legendary Romanée-Conti vineyard, one of Burgundy’s most prestigious Grand Cru sites. This brief stop offers a unique opportunity to see the intimate scale of Burgundy’s most famous vineyards and better understand why this small corner of the Côte de Nuits has achieved global renown.

Continue through the tranquil vineyard scenery, discovering how local soils, vineyard placement, and generations of expertise shape the region’s exceptional wines.

Private Burgundy Wine Tasting

Enjoy your first commented wine tasting in a private cellar or carefully selected local winery. Sample a selection of fine Burgundy wines from local estates while learning how to assess colour, aromas, structure, and finish.

Your guide and host will introduce the essential characteristics of the region’s celebrated Pinot Noir wines, from elegant red-fruit aromas to silky tannins and complex earthy notes. This relaxed tasting is suitable for both experienced wine lovers and first-time Burgundy visitors.

Prestige Tasting and Pairings

Continue to Gevrey-Chambertin or a nearby Côte de Nuits village for a more in-depth tasting in a traditional private wine cellar. Visit a family-owned estate, potentially in the hands of the same family for several generations, and discover the cellar traditions behind great Burgundy wines.

Taste a hand-selected range of Pinot Noir wines from respected local winemakers, paired with regional French cheeses or fine chocolates. Learn practical food and wine pairing suggestions inspired by French culinary traditions, and compare how different villages, vineyard sites, and winemaking styles influence the final wine.

We had a great day with Manon taking us through this beautiful location. We were fortunate it was a small group so we were able to ask so many questions all day and she was quite knowledgeable. It was a hot day so we were able to spread out in the comfortable van. The boat ride was beautiful and relaxing, such beautiful scenery all around us. We found a nice spot for lunch that had the menu items we were looking for. The wine tasting at the end of the tour was a great ending. We will have fond memories.
