Today, we will come and pick you up at your cruise ship in Villefranche sur Mer port of call. Meet your English speaking driver guide who will go over the itinerary and program of the day on this private half day tour in the French Riviera. Walk on the famous Croisette in Cannes
Arrive in Cannes and walk the famous Croisette Boulevard, by the Film Festival Palace, designer shops and smart sandy beaches. Embellished by Palm trees and fine sandy beaches, famous cafés, elegant shops and deluxe hotels have made Cannes one of the most famous cities of the French Riviera. Of course, the film festival is of world reputation so you will have the opportunity to see where it all takes place towards the Conference center. Then, visit the charming small town of Antibes
Enjoy a drive through the countryside as we move on to visit Antibes, an enjoyable old town of the French Riviera, that houses one of the most famous Picasso collection. The town’s port is located below its fortifications, with luxurious yachts and brightly painted fishing boats. In the 1500s, Antibes’ Fort Carré, which now dominates the port, was the last French stronghold before the Italian border.
Antibes has plenty of little streets to explore and you will certainly marvel as you admire the world’s biggest private yachts in Port Vauban and the largest marina on the French Mediterranean Sea the area being coined Billionaires Quay. Follow your tour guide on a walking tour and enjoy some free time for personal discovery.
Finally, visit Juan Les Pins
Located on the other side of Cap d'Antibes peninsula, this more recently developed resort has been a popular destination since the early 20th century when it hosted such celebrities as Ernest Hemingway, Scott Fitzgerald, Picasso or Charlie Chaplin. The development of the resort was mostly due to Frank-Jay Gould (son of financier Jay Gould) who invested in Hotels (Le Provençal) or Casino (Juan Les Pins).
