- • The official St. Mark's Basilica ticket price is €12.00 per person (standard) or €24.00 with terrace access; the remaining part of the price covers assistance at the meeting point, accompanied entry with a certified guide or host, access to the Venice Gallery with a dedicated VR experience, the use of an audio guide or radio system with earphones and sales costs.
- • A valid ID document is mandatory for security checks at the entrance to the Basilica.
- • For the visit to St. Mark's Basilica, suitable clothing is required (no shorts)
- • Due to security reasons, it is not permitted to enter St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace with luggage or big bags
- • The Marciana Library is closed on Saturdays and Sundays
- • Each gondola can host a maximum of 5 people. The seats onboard the gondola will be assigned by the gondolier depending on the guests' weight
- • The tour might not operate or the itinerary may change in cases of wind or bad weather

La guide était très intéressante et le tour en gondole parfait. Pas trop long, car je me serais ennuyée, le passage dans les canaux au début, puis un petit passage dans le Grand Canal, juste devant la Basilica Santa Maria della Salute. Ces gondoliers font un travail remarquable ! Et le petit plus que j'ai adoré : l'expérience de réalité virtuelle au début de l'activité, dans une boutique tout près du lieu de rendez vous, pour nous plonger dans l'histoire des gondoles de Venise à travers le temps

I am a great believer in using guides on visits to places I haven't visited before as they are able to provide history and context to a place. The visit to the glass blowing factory in Murano was very interesting and we particularly enjoed our tour of Burano and having some free time to wander there too.
