It was a good experience,...
It was a good experience, very hot, I know that the guide explained the paintings outside but felt it was maybe too long, would have like to see other places as part of the tour, as a whole really good and do recommend it.
Not Worth It
We were in Rome for 2 days only. Given the limited time, I wish we had selected a different tour option. The staff at Crown agency seemed like they despise their jobs. In fact, the girl assigned to assist the English speaking group looked annoyed from the outset. The staff had no smile, no friendly reaction to the tour guests. I quickly learned that this is typical Italian behavior. The actual tour guide also looked like she had had enough of her job. At several points throughout the tour, she seemed like she was annoyed with the tour guests; especially, when it was time to refill the water bottles. It was a scorching hot day. These are reasonable requests and accommodations for water refills should have been made to ensure the tour guests were comfortable and didn't pass out from the heat. Overall, the tour guide was informative. Her English, though not the easiest to understand, was enough to get by. I personally wouldn't recommend this tour to others. This experience was not worth my time. It was more like rambling on and on about one statue to the next, one painting to the next, etc. Not sure how they can improve, but having a nice attitude towards guests would have certainly made a positive difference in the experience.
