Best experience

I went with a group of friends and had the best time. This trek was hard (the altitude was no joke) but it was 10000% worth it. Plus, our guides made everything so seamless. Thank you to Roger Calsin, Royer, Wilber, chef Alejandro and the team of porters!!!!! Highly recommend this trip.

Amazing 5-day Salkantay Trek experience

A friend and I did the Salkantay Trek for 5 days with TreXperience and we had a really amazing time! Not only did we get very lucky with our group which was full of great people from different countries but the entire trip was planned and executed very thoughtful. The food was AMAZING! There was always a great variety of choices (even as a vegetarian) and there was more than enough for everyone. Thank you to our chefs Beltran and Jhon. We already miss their food (especially the mango cerviche). The trip itself was great! We made regular breaks and always waited for everyone- no matter the age or fitness level. Even when someone was affected by altitude sickness the guides were well prepared. Along the way we were provided with insightful information and always a joke on the side. At this point I want to point out our guides Abelardo, Junior and Abel. We had the best time with them and miss them already! The accommodations were always comfortable and clean - even when we were “just” camping. And the team went out of their way to make it even more comfortable with popcorn, heating pats, fire, extra blankets or birthday cakes. In the end we had a 5-star trip that we will remember for a long time!

Once in a Lifetime!

Booked this trek to celebrate our dear friend's 50th birthday. Incredible experience. The tour guide (Tony and Wilbur) were wonderful. Tony's strength was his ability to story tell the history of the land and culture. He had a strong knowledge of the geography/mountain ranges and deep history of Incan ruins/culture. Tony was upbeat and encouraging as the trek can be challenging. Wilbur was thoughtful and intentional with our many questions. He was patient and hung back with us on several occasions, as half of our group were fast trekkers, and we 50-something year olds were...well, not as fast. The cooks (Esteban and Reuben - and crew) supplied us with healthy and beautiful displays of food. The porters/horseman kept track of all our items and always got them to our next destination - labor intense work. Sleeping bags (note that sleeping bag liner comes with the rental of the sleeping bags), mats, tents, beds were clean. Drivers were very punctual as well (pre and post-trek). A memory for a lifetime!

5 days Salkantay Trek

The 5 days Salkantay trek has been a great experience. The views were spectacular, the food has excelled my expectations and our guide, David has been great in accommodating different approaches according to each person fitness. The location of the accommodation and some early morning helped bitting the big crowds. Thank you, an overall amazing experience.

Top tier experience

We spent 5 incredible days with Thony Montaña who was a knowledgable and joyful guide who led us safely through the beautiful landscape giving care to everyone’s health and abilities putting safety first and carrying the morale of the group with his fun spirit! I can’t emphasise enough how incredible the food was by Esteban - I don’t know how the porters and kitchen staff achieved such magical campsites and meals racing ahead of us through the mountains - hot water bottles, morning tea, 3 course meals..incredible. They catered to all dietary requirements including vegan and gluten free with amazing variety and flavours. We were so well nourished and taken care of for our trek. Thanks to all the team!
