Sumptuous, educational and so much fun!

Hitomi, our guide, was an absolute gem! She was very knowledgeable and gave us tons of great educational nuggets throughout the day. We started at the seafood market at an established stall where we learned a lot about how the tuna is procured, stored and prepared and also about the different cuts and theor uses. We ate several delicious samples before walking through the rest of the market where we sampled many other delicacies and also entered various shops based on our interests. Along the way she explained various traditions and ways of life and told us about her own family. We also toured a temple and ended the day with a delicious matcha ice cream. We can't praise her enough! We learned so much and had a blast. Usually I get tired by the end of a tour, but I could have spent the whole day with Hitomi- she is just a delight. We highly recommend this tour!

Fish market tour like no other

We’ve eaten sushi and sashimi all over the world, but the food and the experience with the chef was incredible. Learning the whole process from market to table, learning how to make sushi was worth every penny. But can’t say enough about our guide. It is a very busy place, but she navigated our way through with ease while teaching us the history of many of the tiny restaurants. Incredible that quite a few are well over 100A years.
