Full description
Explore downtown Reykjavik through the eyes of Iceland's cats on this private walking tour. You follow the paw prints of cats since the settlement of Iceland, hearing myths and legends about felines in Iceland and around the world, plus stories from cat history that span centuries.
Midway through, you stop at Café Babalú for coffee, hot cocoa, or Icelandic pastries in a cozy, cat-friendly setting. Along the route, you may spot some of downtown Reykjavik's most well-known local cats, including Baktus, Jónsí, and Ófelía — sightings aren't guaranteed, but the odds are good.
The tour starts at the pillars in Ingólfur Square and finishes at the Einar Jónsson Sculpture Garden near Hallgrímskirkja Church. It suits cat lovers of any age and requires no special fitness level. Ten percent of proceeds go to the Cat Protection Society's Kattholt shelter and hotel.

Reviews
We did a cat walk tour. Our guide Robyn was great! The tour was very informative. It was nice to learn about the history of Iceland while on the hunt for some of well known cats around Reykjavik.
Informative. Enjoyable. Dui was excellent.
Einar was the best guide I have ever had in all my travels. His tour is rich and complete, yet never boring. He is incredibly passionate and engaged, making it an absolute pleasure to listen to him. His tour is unique, with plenty of musical and cultural references, as well as a touching personal touch that makes the experience even more special. I was truly delighted to discover Reykjavik and Icelandic culture with Einar. I couldn’t recommend him enough! Thank you so much, Einar!
