The tour is an excellent opportunity for beer and spirit enthusiasts to learn more about the local brewing and distilling scene in Iceland and to sample some of the unique and delicious products produced in the country.
After the tour has concluded and you have a happy buzz, your friendly driver guide will drop you off at your hotel or the next excellent bar if your soul tells you to do that.
Malbygg Microbrewery is established in 2017; Their focus has been on brewing beers they want to drink themselves, but they are always open to experimenting and constantly trying to improve their beers. They mostly brew hoppy beers but also kettle-soured beers, stouts, and wild/sour ales.
Eimverk is a family-operated distillery founded in 2009 with the mission to make premium Icelandic liquors strictly from local ingredients. They produce three spirits: Flóki, their single malt whisky; Vor, a pot-distilled gin; and Víti, which is a signature version of Icelandic Brennivín or black death. Their whisky, Flóki, was the first of its kind in Iceland, handcrafted with four years of 163 trial distillations and maturation tests to ensure the perfect recipe. They use their custom-made distillation equipment to extract the full flavor from the 100% Icelandic barley that they use and mature the whisky in new American oak casks. The result is a complex malt with a unique blend of characteristics found in Bourbon, Scotch, and Irish whiskies.

We did a cat walk tour. Our guide Robyn was great! The tour was very informative. It was nice to learn about the history of Iceland while on the hunt for some of well known cats around Reykjavik.
Informative. Enjoyable. Dui was excellent.
Einar was the best guide I have ever had in all my travels. His tour is rich and complete, yet never boring. He is incredibly passionate and engaged, making it an absolute pleasure to listen to him. His tour is unique, with plenty of musical and cultural references, as well as a touching personal touch that makes the experience even more special. I was truly delighted to discover Reykjavik and Icelandic culture with Einar. I couldn’t recommend him enough! Thank you so much, Einar!
