Arrive at Stage Door for this backstage experience, and join an intimate tour group to begin your exploration. Experience first-hand what it’s like to walk through Stage Door where thousands of actors, performers and famous names have walked before. Get ready to explore places usually off limits to the general public to find out how the magic of theatre happens. Relish the opportunity to get a glimpse into the demanding, passionate, dramatic (and sometimes scandalous) world of our performers – as our guides recount the stories and insider secrets of what really happens behind the curtain. From pulleys to props, sequins to sound-checks, we take you through nooks and crannies not known to the public. Discover what makes the Sydney Opera House both a world-renown icon and a world-class performance venue. Traveler reviews
Morning at the Sydney Opera House.
We went on the Sydney Opera House Backstage Guided tour with Breakfast. My husband was on the fence about touring the Opera House but we were so glad we did because it was amazing. Alan was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw room reserved for staff and performers and all of the performing halls. We learned a lot of the inside scoop on behind the scenes information and the history of the Opera House. Breakfast was included at the end of the tour in the Green Room. Very nice end to an amazing tour. We enjoyed it and would definitely recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour of the Opera House!
Fantastic backstage experience. We learned so much and saw so much. Alan was fantastic. Highly recommend to everyone visiting. Only issue was finding the meeting point, it's down the escalators and around it to the Stage Door area. It was hard for us to find at first!

The tour is aptly titled, Back stage. We were able to see two stages, one opera, one play stage. We did not go in to the larger venues. We saw costumes from Romeo & Juliet, and a dinosaur from a stage play. Bruce was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Breakfast was served to us and was delicious! Bruce gave us tips on where to take great pictures. After our tour, we walked away from the opera house and enjoyed the Botanical gardens .
