Join us on this historical tour where you'll learn how in the mid-1950s, Australia and a man from Denmark, Jørn Utzon, created a sculpture on Sydney Harbour that changed the course of twentieth-century architecture. To quote US architect Frank Gehry, “(it) changed the image of an entire country.” Hear how visionaries, idealists, architects, engineers, pragmatists and artists together built this architectural and engineering masterpiece that was at the cutting edge of what was possible at the time.

Architecture, politics, and more!
Our guide, Peter, delivered an excellent performance level narrative of the history and politics behind the design and construction of the Opera House. His presentation was clear and comprehensive in the information that we were eager to learn. His informal, and often comedic, delivery was perfect for keeping our attention for the 90 - 120 minutes of the tour. And his pacing of our journey though this massive structure was considerate for the elderly among our group. WELL DONE.
Insightful Architecture Tour of the Sydney Opera House
Excellent tour with Paul for the Architecture Tour. We got the inside history lesson and an intimate tour of the Sydney Opera House. I can't imagine doing any other tour that's offered. We learned so much. Paul was extremely informed and entertaining as well. Highly recommend. Book this tour early in the day!
