Itinerary
With a maximum of six guests, this semi-private experience combines a relaxed pace, expert storytelling, and privileged access for a memorable visit to the heart of the Vatican.
Begin with priority access to Michelangelo’s Dome, where you’ll take an elevator part of the way before climbing to the interior gallery. From this unique vantage point, admire the Basilica’s magnificent mosaics up close and enjoy breathtaking views over the interior, including Bernini’s famous Baldacchino above the High Altar.
Back inside the Basilica, your expert guide will introduce you to its most celebrated masterpieces and hidden treasures. Admire Michelangelo’s Pietà, Bernini’s monumental bronze canopy, the bronze Statue of St. Peter, and other remarkable works that reflect centuries of artistic achievement and religious devotion.
Your tour concludes beneath the Basilica in the Papal Tombs, where many Popes are buried, including John Paul II. This sacred area is also traditionally believed to contain the tomb of St. Peter himself, making it one of the most significant sites in the Catholic world.

Don’t pass this opportunity up
Gabriella made this tour unforgettable! From navigating the notoriously long St. Peter’s line to sharing her incredible knowledge of the basilica’s history and art, Gabriella was exceptional from start to finish. Her warmth and charisma kept our whole group engaged throughout. She was so thoughtful — snapping photos of our group unprompted, and when it came to the dome climb, she tackled every step right alongside us, camera in hand. Any nerves I had about the climb vanished immediately. Highly recommend this tour. Gabriella, you are a true gem — thank you for making our Rome visit so special!
Great Tour!!
Brando was our tour guide he was extremely knowledgeable! Showed us the most important features of the St Peter’s Basilica.
Great tour with Gabriela!
We had a wonderful tour with history, art, and a friendly guide. The tour took us all over the basilica and each stop along the way showed us something new. Gabriela was great with facts and insights that told the story that complemented the beauty of the Vatican.
Wonderful tour of St. Peter’s Basilica, Dome and Papal Tombs
My husband and I took this private tour with Oksana. She was passionate and knowledgeable about all the things we were seeing. She was also very thoughtful asking us if we wanted to go around the dome a second time, attend the Mass that was starting at the Basilica, and stay and pray at the end of the tour. She also asked a priest to bless us which was very special since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. She didn’t rush us but made us feel like we could take our time to see everything and ask questions. She was very kind to us. I highly recommend this tour and Oksana.
