Itinerary
Take a walk through the mysterious Pena Park (ticket and guided visit included), with an astonishing variety of plants and trees. The park was planted with the help of a German Engineer, a specialist in botany. Feel like royalty as you enter the romantic Pena National Palace (ticket included, no guided visit inside the Palace) at the top of the Sintra Mountain with amazing views of the Moorish castle.
In Sintra old town, there is free time for lunch, before meeting the guide again for the second part of the tour.
After lunch, we arrive at Quinta da Regaleira (ticket included), one of the highlights of Sintra. Visiting Regaleira is like travel on an imaginary universe full of symbols and metaphors. There is always a sign of something intense and transcendent. The guide enters in the park with you, gives you informations and directions, and then you have free time to explore this luxurious park, heading to the Initiation Well, discovering hidden secrets and entering mysterious tunnels.
Not actually a well! It was used for rituals inspired by the Knights Templar.
After leaving Sintra, we take the mountain road heading to the Western most point of continental Europe for a picture stop. These 100+ meter high cliffs are amazing
Before returning to Lisbon, we do a small stop in the bay of Cascais, where beach, local food, old town and fisheries combine. Great stop for pictures and maybe time for an icecream.

Traveler reviews
Beautiful Sintra!
This is a very well run tour, most professional. They allowed us to group together for a very nice experience! Miguel went above and beyond to insure a happy and fun day!
Great experience
This was a fantastic trip and John was an excellent guide. John was able to provide historical background and knowledge and the information provided context to what we were experiencing. The small group and flexibility offered during the tour made for a highly enjoyable day.
Great experience !
Benny was a great, informative, approachable and friendly guide. The tour was great. While the tour guide doesn’t necessarily accompany the group at all times thru the sites, he ensured to provide important info in advance and/or after to make the most of the experience. Great roundup of sites in one tour.
Great tour with lots of sites seen.
Natalia was an amazing tour guide! From the start of the trip to the end, she was professional but so kind and warm and funny. We started at Regaleira, then Peña Palace, then lunch in Cascais, then finishes at the Cabo da Roca. I do wish we were able to spend more time in Regaleira and Pena Palace, so if you’re wanting to spend more than 30ish minutes being able to explore those places, I would book a different tour where you only visit one or both of those and don’t go to Cascais and Cabo roca. Be prepared for lots of uphill walking at Pena Palace, definitely wear comfortable shoes. 10/10 would do again!
Outstanding day! A full day of sightseeing, touring Pena Palace, Sintra and Cascais.
Outstanding day full of surprises
