First stop at Pena Park and see the diversity of plants and trees line the beautiful trails. Continue to Pena National Palace, the most famous of Sintra’s monuments, located at the top of Sintra Mountain. Enjoy this 19th-century Romanticist castle that looks and feels like a fairy tale. Admire its eclectic Neo-Manueline, Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance styles as you head inside. Observe the extravagant bedrooms that used to serve as a summer residence for the royal family
The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra. Spend some free time to have lunch or discover the town’s forested palaces like Sintra National Palace, a medieval royal palace occupied from the 15th to 19th centuries (own expense). Check out the local fare with tastes of queijada or travesseiro, two scrumptious and traditional pastries.
Whip out your camera for great photos at the rocky bluffs of Roca Cape (Cabo da Roca), Europe’s westernmost point.
Briefly, visit Guincho Beach where surfers shred the gnar.
In the former fishing town of Cascais, peruse the narrow streets of this trendy vacation getaway with your guide. Check out classic white, terracotta-roofed houses as you make your way to the beach. Then, bask in the sun as you tuck your toes into the golden sands and gaze over the expansive Atlantic Ocean.
Pass by: Along the journey back to central Lisbon, where your tour concludes, enjoy pristine views of the scenic town of Estoril.

Traveler reviews
Pena Palace / Cabo Da Roca/ Cascais
We had a great experience with Inside Lisbon. Our tour guide Benny was absolutely awesome! He had a full itinerary planned for us and so organized. He gave a lot of information about Portugal‘s History and it helped us during our visit to the Pena Palace. I would highly recommend them! Thank you for a fantastic day 👍🏽
It’s official- I love Portugal!
The trip starts out at the Hard Rock Cafe in the Ave of Liberty, a high end shopping district. We drive up to Sintra, spend time at the castle which is beautiful. The town of Sintra is very quaint with lots of food and trinkets. We then drive along the coast to Cabo de Roca, the westernmost point of Europe,. We then drive to Cascais, a resort town with delicious seafood. Ricardo was our tour guide and he is just so knowledgeable about Portuguese history, local restaurants, etc. tour was well worth the money.
Castelo da Pena, it's worth it!!
Our guide Filipe Brandāo was excellent in his work; his stories and explanations were very good, and he also drove the vehicle we used for the tour with great care. What I didn't like about the tour was that the time spent in Cascais is not enough; it's very little, and you have to decide between strolling a little or eating something...
Portugal tour
Benny was our tour guide. Excellent! Very professional and informative. He was extremely polite. Very careful driver. I would book another tour next visit if I could be assured Benny was our guide.
Alberto was the best
Our guide, Alberto, was the best guide I’ve had on many visits to Europe. He was knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to make sure everyone enjoyed the experience.
