Shinjuku Bar Hopping Night Tour

Great time! Tour guide was spot on. He was knowledgeable about the area and led us on a grand journey through Shinjuku. Massachusetts provided for us splendidly, ordering drinks and food till we were full to bursting. The others in our group provided entertainment as well. Fun trip! Highly recommended by me.

Yuki was an excellent tour guide who did a great job of connecting all of us on the tour while also educating us on Japanese culture, all while having lots of fun and enjoying great food, drinks and company!

We had a fantastic experience with Yusuke. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and thoughtful, and shared a huge amount of interesting information throughout the tour. What made this experience special was that it was much more than simply visiting a few bars. Yusuke taught us about Japanese culture and local customs, including how people make a toast at an izakaya and some of the manners and etiquette that are useful to know when eating and drinking in Japan. As we walked around Shinjuku, he also introduced us to famous local spots and explained how younger people in Tokyo enjoy the area today. He shared recommendations for great food, restaurants, and other ways to enjoy our time in Japan. It was especially nice to hear so much up-to-date local information that would have been difficult to discover on our own. We also stopped at a shrine along the way, where Yusuke talked about Japanese history and culture, including the importance of rice farming and some of the ideas and traditions connected with Shinto and Buddhism. I really appreciated being able to learn about these deeper aspects of Japanese culture while exploring the city. The selection of restaurants and bars was also excellent. Our first stop was in Omoide Yokocho, where we enjoyed delicious yakitori and drinks in a wonderfully nostalgic atmosphere. It felt like stepping into a very different side of Tokyo. At the second place, we enjoyed unlimited drinks together with delicious appetizers and sushi. It was relaxed, fun, and a great opportunity to talk more with Yusuke. Our final stop was a small bar in Golden Gai, where we could really experience the unique atmosphere of the area while continuing to learn about Japanese culture and nightlife. What impressed me most was Yusuke's hospitality. By the end of the evening, it felt less like being on a tour and more like spending the night exploring Tokyo with a local friend. We talked about many different things, and because of him we were able to discover great places, delicious food, and aspects of Japanese culture that we never would have experienced on our own. He even walked us all the way to the station for our train home and made sure we knew exactly where to go. We had such a wonderful time with Yusuke, and I genuinely think more people should experience this tour. If you want to enjoy Shinjuku nightlife while also learning about Japanese food, culture, history, and everyday life from a friendly local guide, I highly recommend it.
