Delays on Delays on Delays
We left Tel Aviv and arrived to Jerusalem on time, but that’s about all that went well today. When we got to Jerusalem, we had to wait an hour because the bus broke down, which delayed leaving for Masada. We didn’t get there until around 11am and then a family went missing near the bathrooms, which delayed us starting until about noon. The tour felt lackluster and rushed. We ended up getting to lunch at 2:30pm and were told to be back at the bus at 3:15pm, which was plenty of time. But the same family showed up 30 minutes late. We arrived at the Dead Sea at 4pm and were told to be back at the bus by 5pm. We arrived so late that we only really had 30 minutes to enjoy in the water with changing on both ends and the sun going down. But guess who didn’t make it to the bus by 5, or 5:15 even? The same family. Our tour guide, Liat, was annoyed but didn’t do anything until my husband pointed out to her that this family had disrespected everyone’s time. As the guide, it’s her job to manage the large group. She could’ve pulled them aside or hurried them along faster. We were supposed to get back to Tel Aviv between 6 and 7pm, but didn’t make it back until 7:30pm. Also, the tour site didn’t advertise or market that they not only drive through the West Bank but stop inside it. While it was fine, it definitely should’ve been forewarned. It was not expected and caused a bit of anxiety. Overall, you’re better off renting a car and driving to Masada and the Dead Sea. The audio guide tour of Masada is probably more informative than what we got, and the lack of time management made this frustrating.
Well run tour, great guide, smooth experience - highly recommended
This review is a little overdue. I took the Dead Sea Tour that included Jericho and the Jordan River this past summer with Bein Haim Tourism Services. This tour is not for the faint hearted especially during the summer. For example, Jericho was fairly steep for me and the trail up to the top of Mount Temptation was a hot challenge even after a cable car ride. Nevertheless, Bein Haim Tourism Services provided us efficient and cool transportation and tasty fare. Our tour guide Yoav Malachi was also extremely knowledgeable and helpful, being very patient extending a helping hand when needed to ensure everyone was well hydrated, comfortable and safe. Wearing a hat is highly recommended. Thank you, Yoav, for your cheery kindness in the sweltering heat. I learned a lot and look forward to my next visit.
Didn’t get what we signed up for
We didn’t get what we signed up for. We were supposed to have ~ 2.5 hours at the dead sea after making a few stops before. Well first we stopped at some cheesy Elvis rest stop for coffee. There was no significance of this nor was it needed. Our guide asked asked if we wanted to go with rest of group to Masada. We said no we had been already that’s why we booked Dead Sea only. After, we stopped at the lowest point sign as advertised which was good. Then they dropped us off at the Dead Sea at 930am and said they’d be back and we’d all leave at 330pm. That seemed long but at the time didn’t realize how long that was. That was way too long. But to make matters worse at 330 we found guide and he said it was now moved to 430pm. At that point we said no we need to leave. This was way longer than what we signed up for. We were supposed to be back in Tel Aviv at 440pm according to our confirmation. Anyway the guide did find us another ride back. He was great But the trip itself was not at all what we signed up for. Don’t advertise 2.5 hours at the Dead Sea when it’s really 6-7. Wouldn’t not use this company agsin
Worst tour in Dead Sea
The worst experience ever, it is just a drop off in the middle of the Dead Sea without consideration of the weather and the time that they left you there (almost 8-9 hours). There is no sense, you can’t be more than 20 minutes in the water (and they suppose to think that you will be in the sun more than 8 hours) No water, no tour, and the conditions of the place are awful The worst tour that I have ever been
Relax not relaxing
We started the tour with the promise of a coffee break to have breakfast, which didn’t occur. Then the four of us whom book this tour, we’re dropped on the Jordanian side of the Dead Sea, alone, for a “relaxation day”, which had nothing of relaxing. Crowded, laud, horrible facilities and also expensive. After 6 hours they came for us, and after one hour trip, two wheels of the bus exploded. I can say thanks god I arrived safely.
