Tour with a very experienced guide
Tour in French with our guide Yassir, who is very experienced and motivated by the history and vision of Gaudi. We were treated to a very comprehensive tour with many anecdotes. Without him, we would have missed a lot of important information. Thanks to Yassir
Vitaly is awesome and...
Vitaly is awesome and knowledgeable (one of the questions was about the kind of stone used, and Vitaly pointed at different stones and explained where they came from!). Everything he talked about was interesting and relevant with a few personal photos and stories of him observing the construction progress. Vitaly gave us plenty of opportunities to ask questions and extra time at the end to chat more. Although the tour cost was on the expensive side, the tour guide, the small group size, and the whole experience were worth it and became the most memorable part of our vacation. Visiting at 6pm turned out to be a good choice: low sun created beautiful lighting inside. We experienced none of the issues I was worried about after reading other reviews for various Sagrada Familia tours. Of course, one has to arrive on time. Our tour started promptly at the scheduled time. The communication from Crown Tours was great, instructions about the meeting place were clear, and it was very easy to find the meeting place. Apparently, one person from Crown Tours gathers groups and then hands them off to the tour guides. The listening devices were all working well, the sound was clear, no one seemed to have any problems hearing and understanding Vitaly as long as they were within 10-12 meters range. Going through the security was efficient, it took, perhaps, 5-7 minutes to get our group of 15 through. There were many people inside, but not to the point where Vitaly couldn't easily (at least he made it seem easy) find a spot for our group to stop, look around, and listen to him. We could stay inside once the tour was over and explore more, including the lower level exhibits, where the tour does not go. No issues, great guide, great tour!
